Ahsoka (2023– )
10/10
First two eps a very solid beginning.
23 August 2023
Very solid beginning to the show , I absolutely loved Rebels so this new show starts by introducing all the characters very familiar ones as well as new , looks fantastic as well with lots of throw backs to StarWars Rebels , Ahsoka Tano looks great just as she has done in previous live action shows but now add Chopper , Sabine and dare I say the extremely sexy General Hera Syndula , damn Mary Elizabeth Winstead looks hot as hell as a Twi-lek , absolutely love the Lothal cat , The late Ray Stevenson holds the screen extremely well and has enough menace and melancholy about him for his character to hold your interest , some scenes are a touch slow but I hope it's just taking its time to build the story for us , Overall I'm highly anticipating the next episodes and if the first two are anything to judge by it looks like Ahsoka is gonna be a pretty special Dave Filoni addition to the StarWars galaxy , Can't wait for the Rebels crew to be back together but I'm guessing I'm gonna have to wait a while for that reunion scene .

Star Wars: Rebels (2014–2018)

Breathtaking goosebump level StarWars
21 April 2023
No Spoilers What a wonderful show, I've just finished watching this for the second time in preparation for the upcoming Ahsoka series in Aug2023 because I think it's going to be an important part of the structure to the show & simply had to write a review on it now I'm done, So I will start by saying if you love clone wars you will simply love this as well, the first season has a lot of character building but still carries itself well once your settled buckle up for an animated Starwars adventure up there with the very best George Lucas made available, although it's animated DO NOT LET THIS PUT YOU OFF, I guarantee you will feel everything just like it's a real motion picture because it's so well done it really is goosebump level StarWars at its very best which you will get carried away through space enjoying, We follow our struggling Rebel fighters led by Captain Hera Syndula, Jedi Kanan Jarrus, Madalorian Sabine Wren, Lasat Garazeb Orelios & of course Chopper the astro droid, but the centre point is orphan soon to be Jedi padawan Ezra Bridger who goes from street rat to fighting for the galaxy, as well as seeing familiar faces from all diff shows on offer along the way, I can only say this, Do not have any hesitations spending time watching this press play it's an amazingly written incredibly heartfelt & absolutely beautifully crafted visually as you'd expect from a Starwars series which shows it can be done without George Lucas & absolutely puts the trilogy sequels into even deeper mud if that's possible, THIS IS STARWARS !

Enjoy the ride & fight against the empires evil grip on the galaxy... THE FORCE WILL BE WITH YOU , ALWAYS...

Superb acting
2 March 2023
Firstly I didn't know what to expect at all from this & went into it with that intent because I hoped for something more like a previous film I watched with Gleeson & Don Cheadle "The Guard" which I have to say was far funnier & superior to this filmSo definitely check The Guard out more than this one, That being said I suppose my primary take is that the acting is superb Farrell,Gleeson,Keoghan & Kerry Condon are the only reason I finished the film, exceptional Irish talent & that's a compliment straight from an Englishman right there, the story is limited & centres on Farrel & Gleeson through out but who cares to be honest is the overriding feeling I had, Has to be said Farrel has come a long way since the phone booth his turn at the Penguin amongst other roles he's excelling & showing true development as a great actor aside from the acting not sure why this film is getting so much love, WATCH "THE GUARD" INSTEAD.

Just gutted at this movie.

The King is dead , Long live the ..... Oops maybe not it's another big miss again for Marvel

I will start by saying I absolutely loved the first movie, Loved it , it 100% stood out amongst a sea of films of this genre and with Chadwick Boseman leading the Wakandan people along with Michael B Jordan & great support cast they all just nailed it in every respect , however with the devastatingly sad early passing of Boseman who's career was about to explode after blossoming well for the last decade I feared for the worse & after watching it this afternoon coming after a long delay my fears were realised as it doesn't compare or come close in any way to the first film, I don't wish to drop spoilers but the very premise of the first movie which is the strongest person leading the Wakandans which was arguably both in body and mind , this was completely chucked in the bin for the benefit of lazy crap writing and inclusivity , the old saying of trying to fit square pegs in round holes suits perfectly , I've scored it a 5/10 but I'm all honestly had the content involving Boseman not been in this movie invoking the feeling of loss & contemplating what could have or maybe should have been had we not lost him this film would probably have only pinched a 2/10 from me... I don't wish to drop spoilers but this movie was everything I didn't want it to be , I will leave it like this MARVEL WAKE THE HELL UP NOW !

The current standard of the films is shocking once you take the gloss off the productions aside from Spider-Man & parts of Thor every film since End Game has been horse muck.

If you like Sci-fy get on board...
26 October 2022
Defo worth a punt, im judging after the first two episodes so obviously it could all change & go south but definitely an entertaining concept so far... Quite well acted in my opinion and leaves enough mystery without burning the whole story in a couple of episodes, Chloe Moretz is as accomplished & stunning as ever & has the experience now from so many varied roles to carry off the leading role in the show, Defo get a vibe of Terminator, Gamer, Matrix, inception, Tenet & Westworld which the later i couldnt get into when i tried but its for sure on those sort of vibes, ive tried not to give to much away so i will say give it a go if you love science fiction you wont be disappointed... 👍

Prey (I) (2022)

I just can't ...
15 August 2022
From the start this is a popcorn movie, it's entertaining that's all nothing above a 6/10 BUT ! BUT ! It's laughable & makes me want to slaughter another ridiculous woke movie, All I'm gonna say is the original Predator which is the best of the franchise by a mile showed us a giant technological advanced hunting alien monster which tore apart & killed an elite squad of peak physicality ex Vietnam military/Mercenaries/commandos with the best Arsenal a man can carry one by one with relative ease, compare to Prey a little skinny girl with an axe on a string, guess who wins, Hollywood has to get away from these woke films it's a struggle not to laugh, I'm all for leading female roles Sigourney weaver is a legend & shows how it should be done, ppl are gonna start to switch off they need to stop ruining franchises ppl love to point score politically, with that all said I accept the film for what it is and move on, I believe 6/10 is as generous I can be, there are far worse films around to be far.

It's a steady ww2 film entertaining enough
26 April 2022
Firstly if you press play on this Netflix film & expect Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers level quality then you're an idiot & it really isn't pretending to be, It's a run of the mill ww2 rescue operation, bit ropey & predictable but fun enough & I wanted to see how it ended which is more than can be said for some films, I think sometimes ppl expect to much sometimes.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch (2021–2024)

Really enjoyed this,
27 March 2022
Previously seen the clone wars so watched Rebels & jumped straight on to this, love the way it fills & completes elements of the whole story in regards to the clones post Anakins demise looking forward to season two, all of the above help with The Mandalorian & Boba fett, love how it's all so well linked, I'd recommend anyone to start with Clone wars then Bad batch & at this point in time continue with Rebels obviously still waiting on Obi-Wan series so that could change.

The Batman (2022)

Don't believe the hype...
17 March 2022
Batman the musical relentless noise to hide an absence of a certain something, Aside from Pattinson whom despite looking the part has next to no script & ends up basically being a paramedic in fancy dress suffers horribly because of it, the films writing is so hollow, The Riddler spends his time trying to be Nolan's Joker which I didn't mind but just goes to show how lazy the character construction is, characters are superficial, empty & quite frankly halfwits detective Gordon is shown to be an imbecile who without Batman can solve nothing have to say the weakest of Nolan's was Batman Begins which was still incredible & far far far superior to this drivel, this isn't a good movie it looks ok & that's OK but Nolan's still looks better & it's the best part of 20 years older, Pattinson should've backed out from this, wrong time to make a Batman movie with a studio that is also intent on being WOKE ! & this is what you get, Sorry state of affairs really, Awful.

0/10 What a load of drivel.
9 March 2022
It's because of nonsense episodes like this the show needs to end, if I'm honest I might not make it to the end if any more are like this & I've watched since day one airing, from where this great show was to this garbage is a real shame.

Wow and not in a good way .
6 January 2022
As a fan of the matrix & reloaded I was disappointed with revolution as the trilogy seemed to get lost in its own soup , this new instalment does nothing to rectify that , so let be clear and precise so there's no confusion , everything good about the original this movie isn't that this move is garbage , what for it to come in tv if you must see it but I assure to spend money on this is wrong, I'm so so SO disappointed I can't tell you how much.

Simply the best movie made . A MASTERPIECE...
29 October 2021
Finally got round to registering here to drop a review or two, so best to start with the best, when I first saw this film at the cinema upon its release I remember just sitting there at the end with credits rolling just in utter awe of what I'd just watched, never happened before or since as I write this in 2021, Visuals , Story, Length, Actors, the characters the actors smashed out the park, the tension quite simply for me this is the pinnacle of what a movie should be and the bar of which I hold all films , I watch it every year since on HD when I get the house to myself no distractions and each & every time when those credits roll I genuinely get the same feeling I did in the cinema back in 2008, A MASTER PIECE of work by Nolan .

Dune (2021)
9/10
The fan fav of 84 is not let down by it's update
29 October 2021
Firstly go cinema pay the extra for imax and enjoy , Epic looking scenery defo reqs the humongous imax experience, good film well put together and would appear it spreads the contents of the 1984 movie over two films as this is Dune Part 1, Chalamet holds the screen well although at first looking diminutive for the key role it works, left anticipating the next film rather than moaning about what was just watched.
