Dosar (2006)
Positive risk-setting a black and white film
Dosar is an amazing movie and nobody should miss this excellent movie of Rituparno Ghosh. The best thing in the movie is,it is in black and White and all the emotions depicted in the movie was just more than perfect. The movie perfectly shows the pain a women suffers who in spite of being loyal and faithful to their husbands face this kind of insulting consequences. But with this pain they tolerate their insult due to mental pressure created in their households. The attempt to capture a 21st century setting in black and white film is definitely a bold step - a positive risk taken by both the director and the producer - Planman Motion Pictures.
The Last Lear (2007)
Basically for all the art lovers
Amitabh Bachchan's starrer The Last Lear,is a movie based on Shakespeare's play and is basically for all the art lovers. The story is that of an ageing and ailing stage actor being persuaded to act in a movie, which happens to be his last, and has been left in a coma as the aftereffects of the shooting.Amitabh Bachchan is extraordinary and has given of his finest and most difficult performances ever. He is intense, generous, impulsive, and his English line delivery is spectacular. The film belongs to him completely. This movie is one of the finest to come in recent years from the Indian stables and sure to win accolades worldwide. Must Watch !
Do Dooni Chaar (2010)
Dreams and Aspirations
Keeping the middle class family dream of owning a car as its central point, DO DOONI CHAAR touches upon several little things that affect our daily life. It's about our dreams and aspirations, corruption, values, father-son relationship, call center generation and more. And most importantly, it does that with precision, without getting preachy. The heart of "Do Dooni Chaar" lies in its characters and in the performances of the actors who inhabit them. Both kids do a competent job, but it's Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor who make this an unmissable experience for the sheer chemistry they continue to share, and for the entirely believable flesh-and-blood characters they are able to create out of the Duggals.
Rok Sako To Rok Lo (2004)
Watch it for Yash Pandit !!!!
Yash Pandit looks so cute in the movie. When i saw him in the trailer,i decided to watch this movie and i did.I saw this movie with my friends and the movie is amazing.Arindam Chaudhuri done a commendable job in his debut directional movie.I will talk about Yash Pandit more as i really like him in the movie. He is too good, the way he plays his character in the movie was mind blowing. Now,he is my favorite actor in the industry, not in a single scene,he makes us realize that he is a new comer and this is his debut movie. The movie is based on the rivalry between the students of different schools belongs to different background and yash pandit is in main lead role.
