How a play should be adapted to the silver screen
11 August 2006
This is how a play could (should) be adapted to film: Excellent: Very few scenes, intense and brilliant acting, a meaningful dialog - yes, this could be dramatized for radio (come on BBC7) and be just as exciting as the film version.

The film version is so intensively exciting mainly because it's a damn good story, and because of the brilliant cast.

The style of this film - the few scenes, tender cutting, and thus the theater-feeling - makes me think of another masterpieces as Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. This film also has the intensity of even the best of todays car-chase-all-the-time movies.

To the viewers: See it!

And to BBC: Dramatize it for radio!

Four Friends (1981)
an 'all in one' movie
23 November 2004
The first time i saw this movie, i did'nt notice. The second time i saw this movie i hated Jodi Thelen. The third time i saw this movie i began to understand Danilo. The fourth time i saw this movie i already loved Jody Thelen. The fifth time i saw this movie i understood why Danilo loves Georgia Miles. The sixth time i saw this movie i had to see it again. The seventh time i saw this movie i saw it was about me. And i have loved it ever since.

Four Friends is about (surprise) friendship, and it could have been a 'sugar sweet' and 'violins when neded' film, but it's not !!

In Four Friends i think all human needs (death and love) are covered.

Summary: A Great Movie !!
