Issiz Adam (2008)
For all who still believe..
Irmak has finished analyzing his audience. Now he can do the best shots. Not only shooting the unforgettable frames but also the deepest parts in the hearts. And again, he took the advantage of doing "this thing" near the end, and in an inconvenient moment that the audience having no time for recovery. The hope of an "Island" to survive for a "Lonely guy" was successfully injected to us who still believe in that magic word. The soundtracks themselves are quite impressive, as if they were written for the movie after decades. Sometimes I'm wondering whether Irmak shot this movie for only those old songs. Just watch it, do not see, do not hear and do not talk.
The Notebook (2004)
another touching film with "lake house"
This movie made me remember the movie "Lake House". Both are romantic but this one is a little bit dramatic for older watchers. I think all lake houses have a romantic side. Actually this movie has two different point of views, for both young and old watchers. The 40 and 50's style of life in USA is quite well done with fantastic scenes. And you can realize not only how appearance change by time and also how people live and think. I was expecting a better end but again I am sure most watchers loves the end. But still I am not sure it is a good end or bad.. Briefly, If you liked "Lake House" I am sure you will love this movie, too. Everyone should see it.
Gönül Yarasi (2005)
Very touching
One of the best Turkish movies I've ever watched. Sener Sen, one of the greatest Turkish actors did not surprise me with the great performance and success but Meltem Cumbul really made me surprised. I used to think she was a all-in-one contemporary model but she proved shes also a good actress. She has tried her chance in many fields like singing, TV shows etc. She has singed perfectly in the movie but in fact she should act, not to do anything else. The movie is simple, with no hi-tech effects, no super models, no hip-hop etc.. its just people, telling you to turn back and see what is important in life, at all. Especially if you're living in a complicated country like Turkiye. Life is hard..
