Decent for a found footage flick
16 May 2015
I did not expect much going into this movie. I was hoping for a little better than Alien Abduction. That being the case, I ended up pleasantly surprised! The first 70% of the movie could have been condensed into about 10 minutes of plot actually necessary to understand and enjoy the movie. However, it was worth sitting through to get to the last 30%. The suspense was surprisingly effective. I even found myself tensed up and gritting my teeth a few times. Special effects, although not plentiful, we effective as well. I agree with a previous reviewer that I felt dissatisfied with the end of the movie. I think that, maybe with a bigger budget and a well thought out ending, it could have been much better. A pure horror fan will likely not appreciate it. On the other hand, if you enjoy SciFi/horror/suspense combo flicks, then it's definitely worth a watch.

One of the Best Currently Running Series
30 January 2015
Up there with Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, and The Walking Dead, this series has been great so far! I cannot wait for Season 2 to begin. The reason for the 9 out of 10 is that it could do with a little less drama and a little more action. Of course that could be said about almost any series in the fantasy/Sci-Fi/horror genre. Acting and special effects are great, which are what keeps me tuned in. Hopefully the new season will show a few more episodes than Season 1, as well as a higher action to drama ratio! If it contains more and bigger surprises, as well as running a very exciting season premiere and finale, I do not see why it can't be as successful as the hugely popular aforementioned shows!!!

Absolutely Miserable
10 June 2014
First, let me say that I was born and raised Cajun in South Louisiana. I usually check out the movies that are made in, or are made about, the area that my family and I call home. The acting in this movie was good enough. The writing and plot, however, were terrible. What a horrible message it sends the audience in its conclusion. The other thing is, I can't imagine how they spent $5,000,000! There were no effects or any even relatively expensive looking sequences. I think the only person to speak his honest mind here was kyale100 in his review. Or, maybe he was the only reviewer (besides me) not on the producer's payroll! No disrespect to Ms Milfort, who did a fantastic job in the movie, as well as her angelic addition to La Mer!
