Freaking fantastic.

Wow, I miss seeing live theater. I hadn't really realized just how much I missed it until watching "To the New Girl". This movie captures that magical middle ground between the in-person theater experience and cinematic storytelling. The monologues are incredibly well-written, performances are stellar, direction is fantastic, and cinematography totally on point. Big congrats to the whole team!

A beautiful and very important movie.

Here Awhile is a beautiful film about subject matter that is incredibly important. Anna Camp's performance is stunning and I really felt like I was on the journey with her every step of the way. This is a movie that will definitely open your heart and encourage important conversations with loved ones. Thank you to the filmmakers for taking such love and care with a difficult subject, and sharing this very raw look at real life in a way that is tender, purposeful, and doesn't shy away from asking hard questions of not only the characters in the movie, but also the viewer.

A beautiful, moving, wonderful indie film.

I really loved this movie. I came in not having seen the first 2 films (on purpose b/c I wanted to have fresh eyes) and while I know it's the final film in a trilogy, it's an amazing piece of storytelling that stands all on its own. I'm a lover of character driven indie film and this is just phenomenal. Grounded, understated, complex and yet tender in the way it deals with the curveballs and reality that life throws at you, and it tugs at your heart in a way that I know I'll be thinking about for a long time to come. In the same way that Before Sunrise completely moved me and cemented itself in my heart, this film has done the same and now has a place in time for me. Written and directed by Lynn Chen, the characters of I Will Make You Mine have captured me and now I'm going to go and watch the first two films! I'm also an Asian-American woman in my late 30s/early 40s myself and it's truly wonderful to see life depicted as it truly is. Freaking refreshing. Absolutely recommend this movie!
