All Is Lost (2013)
1/10
Possibly worst movie ever made
13 February 2014
In my opinion this is the worst movie ever made. From the first minute on you get this strange feeling wondering if this is some 12 year old's first movie project, and unfortunately that feeling never leaves you... Robert Redford isn't great in it either, maybe it's his character, but you see an old man hardly capable of anything, and you never get to feel any connection to him, let alone sympathy. It also doesn't help that you are given absolutely nothing to work with: you get absolutely no context of why this old man is on a boat all by himself, seemingly having no clue of what he's supposed to do. To make it even worse, some things just absolutely are so unbelievable that it almost becomes funny. I don't want to put in any spoilers but come on, really??! I guess the fact that there's hardly any spoken words, make some people like this movie, just for the sake of it. In my opinion it's 100% waste of time! Nothing special, just 1 hour and 45 minutes of boredom.

Hugo (2011)
1/10
The most boring, lame, slow and predictable movie ever made
21 February 2012
I had great expectations of Hugo, especially in 3D. The critics were very positive, particularly about the 3D effects. Yes, the opening scene when the camera flies over Paris and through the train station is great. But there the greatness of the film ends. Why was this movie made in 3D? It doesn't add anything to it, there is hardly any difference would you see it in normal 2D, but above all: the movie is made for kids between 6 and 10 years old! For adults it is a torturing 2 hour sit, with absolutely no interesting twists to the story. It is so incredibly predictable, of the kind that is only seen in small children's movies. On top of that, it is painfully slow and boring. Also, the acting in general isn't bad, but the girl (Isabelle) is just terrible. Not believable at all, and over-dramatizing everything. Furthermore, I cannot stand the fact that in Paris everybody speaks traditions UK English... and the train hall inspector is a typical English character, again, in Paris??! All in all it was the worst movie I've ever seen in a theater. I have seen more slow and boring movies of course, but this one topped them all because 1) the great critics it got and 2) it was so annoying that you could see exactly how this movie would roll out from minute 1 to last. 1 out of 10 stars, and only because I cannot give it zero stars.

This is possibly the worst movie ever made
9 November 2010
This is possibly the worst movie ever made. Imagine how bad it must be if I say that even though actors as Robert De Niro, Edward Norton, and Milla Jovovic are in it! It is absolutely about nothing, there's no plot whatsoever, Edward Norton plays an annoying and not very believable character, Robert de Niro a depressing and depressed old man, and Milla just flashes her tits and that's it. It's a 2 hour torture to sit down and watch this movie. It is sooo slow that you just can't help but drift off. I seriously have no idea what the point was of this totally worthless movie, why people invested money in it, and more than anything, why normally great actors choose the roll! Do not go and see this, ever!

Apocalypto (2006)
1/10
The most disgusting movie I have ever seen
20 January 2007
Apocalypto is the most disgusting movie that I have ever seen... It is racist to the bone and an absolute disgrace.

I had been looking forward to this one ever since I heard a movie about the Ancient Maya was being made, and in their own language! What a missed opportunity! It's in Maya, but the WRONG Maya language! The language they speak in the movie is Yucatec Maya, which was not spoken in the region the movie is situated! (ehhm, mountains and near the sea??? Where the hell would that be in the Maya world?!?) But considering it was about a big city-state in the mountains and considering the style of the temples/buildings it much be the Palenque area. - were Yucatec Maya was never spoken...

Mel Gibson is a total racist by making the film the way he did. He portrays them as blood-thirsty primitives, waiting for the Europeans to make their lives better. Those Europeans do arrive at the end of the movie, (I assume they represent the Spanish even though they look Anglo-Saxian), only they arrive 600 years too early!

Furthermore, there is a sun eclipse which totally surprizes and therefore amazes the Maya priests - despite the fact that the Maya are known for their accuracy in terms of astronomy... they possessed a knowledge much beyond the level of Europe at that time (900 AD).

This movie is pure speculation, based on nothing, and when it does pretend to be historically correct Gibson confuses practices of the Maya with those of the Mixtec and Aztec (captives, sacrifices, etc).

I really wonder what this movie contributes...apart from further separation between people(s) and cultures.

What a missed opportunity...

United 93 (2006)

Awefully boring movie with a ridiculous story line
27 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
United 93 pretends to tell the story of the disastrous flight that was high-jacked by terrorist on 9-11. Basically, the first hour is as boring as listening to the radio when you're deaf... Bad actors, bad dialogues, nothing to keep you interested whatsoever because simply NOTHING is happening! However, the worse part is the end: when the passengers attack the terrorists and thereby prevent the terrorist to use it in their attack on the US as a nation. Although this was the initial version of the reports and investigations on this case, the final outcome and conclusion has been that the passengers had NOTHING to do with the crash of the unplanned plane... The final scene where passengers force themselves into the cockpit (that's right, that place that is impossible to enter without a key!!!) is pure fiction and totally unbelievable... In one word, this movie SUCKS! Don't waste any money on it. Unless you feel short of pure American nationalist sentiments and want to see your fellow Americans as h e r o e s ....

Dreamcatcher (2003)

About absolutely nothing...
5 May 2005
This is the worse movie I have ever seen! AHhhh, it is terrible. I can't even describe what it is about, because it is about nothing and everything at the same time.... 4 guys have a special gift (for what purpose doesn't become clear), the are in a mountain cabin where there is a dreamcatcher (oh, so that's why this movie's called that way?!), and they run across a farting and burbing guy (for what purpose was that in it?!), some alien worm (what?!) and of course the military (whatever). What was the director thinking??? What were the people thinking who donated the money for this movie?! I can't bel;ieve this is based on a stephen king book...
