A bunch of boys play war
14 February 2024
Seriously, this looks so overlydramatic, so poor schoolplay style with boring and cringy dialogues. Well, maybe for Americans that are not familiar with European history it will be beautiful, but for the Europeans it will be bunch of c*ap.

And OF COURSE Americans are super and good looking and eloquent while British/other countries people are just stupid and well, pretty much yahoo's. That's lame. SO, SO lame.

So, all in all this is just a pack of nice views - when of course they aren't CGI because the CGI in this tv series is awful and seriously? After tv series with 250000000$ budget I expected something better, something not so artificial and meaningless and just shallow. Heck, watch just one episode of Band of Brothers and Masters of the Air and you will see the difference. Even the smallest frame told a story there, stirred emotions and you could feel all this horror of war. Masters didn't stir anything except boredom.

And let's mention the main characters - well, Butler DEFINITELY still lives as Elvis incarnate, it's so painful to watch. Keogh - my god, he's got charisma of wooden stick O_o

No, no, no. Watch something else.

Unforgotten: Episode #5.6 (2023)

Another great season
3 April 2023
First of all: yes, I'm always gonna miss Nicola Walker as hell.

She was kind, compassioned and just human. I was pissed off in season's 4 finale because why they just let her happily go?

I was so afraid how it's gonna be without her - she puts a very high bar in this series. I was cautious, but to my huge relief it was the same my beloved series as it always be (the same case will be with tv series Shetland). Sinead had a huge boots to fill and she did it perfectly. Of course Sunny and the rest of the team were awesome as always, though it was heartbreaking to see Sunny's grief as he truly loved Cassie. The case was also great and heartbreaking though I didn't find Polish plot amusing - it was a) little boring, b) confusing, c) as a native Polish it was hilarious to hear how Karol spoke Polish (well, TERRIBLE!) though it was nice to hear it at all.

Concuding: can't wait for another season.

Shameful
24 July 2022
It is shame that this case is used to stupid and senseless selfpromotion of this Kristin Chenoweth. She hasn't got anything with that case - she didn't know any of these girls and her only connection is that she was going to that camp and that's it. For me it is utmost arrogant and stupid to use the death of these girls just to show false whining of a celebrity. I wonder who thought this would be a good idea.

Beautiful but...
9 June 2021
Beautiful, very artistic shots aaaaand that's it. There's nothing more, not a single person you can relate to or just plain like. Don't get me wrong - this have everything I love but it still managed to bored as hell. It's just pretty blown egg.

Unexpected pleasure
13 June 2020
First of all: I really don't like polish tv series, they're dull, with horrible acting and every actor speaks like having lockjaw, so when I turned "The Woods" I was very cautious and expected turning tv in circa 10 minutes. Well, turned out I watched four episodes at one go and today I finished last two. I loved locations and cinematography, acting is very good, also music is quite good. If you like scandi noir and tartan noir with its slow pace, twists and "nothing as it seems" plots - you'll be delighted as I am.

What a disappointing waste of time
26 May 2020
First of all - I was very eager to watch another series from Penny Dreadful universe. As a European I was hoping to see American monsters (maybe something from E.A. Poe or Lovecraft?), as in original Penny Dreadful we had European monsters and scary stories. Unfortunately City of Angels failed to give interesting plot and characters. Natalie Dormer is annoying with her all the same face expressions and is just tiresome (maybe they should call it "PD: City of Natalie Dormer" and just let her play all the parts). Historically is inadequate too. Another accusation is too much politics, I know that even tv series must be didactic - but again it is annoying and intrusive. It just hurts watching this series and it'd be better if you just skip PD: City of Angels - there's too many good tv series to waste your time on this.

Waste of time
18 March 2019
Well that was totally waste of time for me and frankly I felt angry when it finally finished. That anthology would be better without it. Not my kind of humour.

Woooow, just wow.
17 March 2019
All I can say is - wooow. An excellent episode and even though I watched it yesterday, tonight I want to rewatch it again. And maybe again. Brilliant, just brilliant.
