The Beekeeper (2024)
Cheap John wick
I won't say it's a bad movie but really disappointing one, it is. It started well tho. I thought the idea was good, old people getting scam and the hero going on a revenge rampage..but it went downhill pretty quick when we were introduced to the fbi agent. Such a bad acting cost -1star on rating alone, wanted -2 but it felt harsh for the other people who worked on the movie. I understand that the horrible writing of her character didn't help but I really disliked her and she have lot of screen time
The fight are good and clean, Jeremy Irons is great as usual, shame they didn't use Minnie driver as the fbi agent and wrote her a better character.
The OctoGames (2022)
Low quality death game
Bad acting, barely interesting games and cheap costumes. The plot is pretty lame also, I was expecting something really clever after the first scene speaking of the little brain in each tentacles of the octopus but it led to nothing.
I have to admit that I liked they managed to make a movie with everything looking cheap, the costumes, the sleeping place, the games's whereabout..
Many peoples compared the movie to squid game but squid game's plot was not original to start with, many mangas before it were about death games on the kids game theme.
The only surprise is that jaxpro pull it out to run away.
Cube: Ichido haittara, saigo (2021)
Why? Just why?
I'm a huge fan of the original cube, the idea I thought was epic. Bit less of the 2nd and cube zero but that's arguable. But this...is an abomination. Remake are lame but we reached a new low.
Character utterly stupid with cheap drama backstory that bring absolutely nothing to the story.
They could at least give us some good CGI and interesting trap (the main point of the film btw) but that was disappointing also
What's next? A Saw remake where the two people chained in the bathroom fall in love?
Imawa no Kuni no Arisu (2020)
Lame live action
I really wanted to like this one, but by experience I know that live action from manga are always cringe worthy with extremely rare exception. This one didn't made the cut.
Bad acting and bad written character. I mean come on, you are in an empty Tokyo and you hunt rabbit in TOKYO and live in a warehouse...as much as the character only characteristics is her connection with mountain, that's stupid.
Main character is not even likable, just a whiny looser.
The Suicide Squad (2021)
The suicide squad I wanted
I didn't have high hopes for this movie, after watching the 1st suicide squad and birds of prey but boy am I happy I gave it a chance. It was awesome!
I get it that some hardcore fan of the comics didn't like it for whatever reason, but for me this movie had what I wanted to see: dumb but badass anti-hero, violence and action. If the humor didn't do it for you, well suck it, it was good.
Spare Parts (2020)
Disappointed
I was not expecting anything but to be entertained for 1h30. I wanted some gory, fun action..I got bad acting and plot hole.
Something that really bothered me was the cheap-ass looking "spare parts". They are basically the main point of the movie, couldn't they make better than plastic weapons that the actresses clearly hold from inside a tube? I mean the gory death where not so bad (except the lame make up supposed to pass for a stabbing from a cheap plastic knife. Who stab someone in the clavic to kill them?)
Kamisama no iu tôri (2014)
One of the worst manga adaptation
I'm really confused about the good rating of some review. Even if I watch movies with a really opened mind and I am really forgiving on liberty taken to straigh from originals source, this movie was really bad.
Really poor acting, horrible CGI and story with way too many plotholes, did I mention bad acting?
The Furies (2019)
Well, they tried
I really hoped to like this movie, 80's slasher type..boy, I was disappointed. Predictable plot twist, character boring as hell, story not making any sense at all. I have to admit that the idea was good tho
Unfriended (2014)
Lost of time but...
I really disliked this movie, not the main topic which is really important and i think it's really important to make movies against bullying. I maybe didn't pay attention enough but way too many things stay as plot hole, what push the characters to suicide? Is laura passing from home to home to kill everybody? How the web cam end up in the room of the big boy? Is it really laura who is killing them? Who is the guy at the end in Blair's room? Not even a tiny bit of explanation whatsoever... The idea of making a fake cheap movie is starting to get old really, don't they get it? Blair witch was great but that's it.
Anyway not worth watching or bored.
