Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014)
Horrible hipster movie
The main characters daughter get railed by some alcoholic who thinks he's a big shot, in the end the guy shoots his nose off...This is totally a hipster movie and has the same soundtrack the entire movie. You may like this if you are 22 or younger. Just make sure you smoke a lot of weed before you watch it. bad movie It is for hipsters Long and boring. This movie acts like it has some big stuff in it. Acts like it is on the edge and some kind of new thing. Tries to make you think of what it is to know about art. The truth is, is that this movie is junk. Written by a bunch of nobodies trying to think they have an idea about what art is. How about make a film and not name the title birdman. It has nothing to do about any kind of bird man. This movie is a waste of anyone's time...Unless you are a 19 year old hipster.
Super High Me (2007)
a novel idea, but quite a big fail by the producers
the main character seems to have some kind of depression problem. he is not motivated, has hardly an intellect, and half-asses his efforts the entire time throughout the movie. okay, i like to smok, a lot, but this movie was really a waste of time. the main character is such a slob lookin kind of guy, and he acts like a slob too. i am upset to see this man representing how good weed can be, or how it doesn't screw you up when you smoke, cause he looks blazed a lot. also, he is so damn boring, i can't remember his name, the is NO co-star or anything like that, and the movie has no direction. you would think if someone was serious about making a movie to sway public opinion, this would be kept off the shelves. on the plus side, you might get a few laughs in, as i did, but overall, wow. pretty much a waste of time.
Akira (1988)
the storyline can be hard to follow, but the animation is outstanding
it is a long movie, and you will probably get a lil bored about half-way through, until the end, and the characters are weak in their storyline. this is mainly an action movie, but it seems like they also want it to be about the story-line. it could have been a lot better at building up the great story concept, and adding some more action scenes, but for 1988, this movie deserves a 10+. i give it a 7 or 6 for what i'm used to now, but i feel this IS a milestone for its time and every anime lover should have a copy) so if you don't mind looking back towards the past and watching a decent anime, this one is for ya. also...the front cover has a pic of a dude and a motorcycle and a picture of a pill on the back of his shirt. his motorcycle is hardly in the movie, and the pill pretty much is never seen in the movie, so i don't know how they come up with that. like i said, the story line is weak, and put together quite badly, but hey, it is 1988, and the graphics still look GREAT today)
