Payback (2023)
Realistic and Thought Provoking
Nuanced characters and situations in a morality play that will keep you on the edge of your seat. We all try to set up our lives with the best job, place to live and the right car... Kids schools, friends and everything. Even so, it is ultimately a fragile façade that can be shattered in a moment. Especially if the chances you've taken along the way start to add up against you. Everyone is forced to make choices in a dynamically changing world full of others who have their own perspectives and plans. Which character are you?
I like everything about this show and am hoping for more from this terrific team at the top of their game.
Salvation (2017)
Actors don't always have a Choice
Kudos to the actors here... They gave it their best. Unfortunately the writing is no where near top notch. To be fair, I'm only half way through the second episode so it could possibly get better but I cannot imagine that happening as it is really spiraling down. It's a shame how dumb some of it is already... I'm watching just to see what's next???
Windtalkers (2002)
A Very Poor Representation of a Great Story
The couple of actors that play Native American roles are pretty good but overall, I am very disappointed with this movie. Some of the bigger names are really bad... Nick Cage is sadly, way out of his depth and terrible. There is almost nothing in this that actually depicts the Navajo Code Talkers and their critical mission. Worst of all is the grotesquely offensive way that the Japanese side is portrayed.
Outlander: To Ransom a Man's Soul (2015)
Horrible sadistic disgusting torture scenes went way over the top
Disgusting and perverse torture scenes... I liked the show up till now but I'm done.
Ad Astra (2019)
Terrible waste... I could not finish it
Astoundingly bad. The writing is not writing and the science is almost worse. The military aspect is very slight but even that is so terribly done it is comical. I can't say enough bad things about this movie... I could not finish it. The actors cannot be blamed for this heinously ridiculous movie that should be avoided.
Cinderella (2015)
Lily James... Enchanted and enchanting with an all star-cast
I watched "Cinderella" with my 9 year-old granddaughter and she absolutely loved it. I grew up with Julie Andrews and Lesley Ann Warren and still adore them. In my eyes, a bad version of this story has never been made. Mark me down for a perfect 10 again this time and let's all call for more to follow, including live theater!
IMDB/Amazon ought to add a section to follow and encourage it...
