Party of Five: Spring Breaks: Part 1 (1996)
Better episode suprisingly, all thing considered
Julia who's been written horribly didn't annoy me, she realizes a lot of what happened in her reationship with Justin is her own fault, and now is trying to make it work once by taking him to a photography class, unfourtantly Justin has his radio show and really doesn't want to see Julia's face, so she reluctantly has to go by herself, where she meets a cute guy named Ian who's completely into her and decides to help her in photography, there Julia sees Justin is walking with another girl and confronts him about it, which he doesn't deny she exists and admits she easier to be around than Julia has been lately, and Julia intends to give Justin one of her old modeling photos from season 1 to give him as a gift and then is kissed by Ian and to the viewers shock Julia actually doesn't kiss him back and in fact doesn't even freak out over it just tells Ian what's up and moves on.
Meanwhile there's very little Bailey in this episode shockingly, it's shown he and Sarah are very distant and she's spending more time with her band and feels more comfortable around them then she does Bailey, sadly she was mugged and robbed making Bailey even more protective of her angering Sarah even more, and the guitarist tries to make a move on her which turns him down and tells Bailey about it, who's unsure how to react to about it knowing Sarah will be pissed no matter how he reacts, which was nice to see Bailey's first reaction wasn't scream and then find the guitarist and beat him up for kissing his girlfriend, but it still annoys the both of them and shows how distant they have become and consider just breaking up.
The Claudia storyline, really it took some creep trying to kiss you to realize Jody is trouble and it's not even because of that it's because she rather spend her time with a crush, I would've preferred if they guy was being polite about making his next move on Claudia and she leaves in annoyance and realizing Jody isn't a good influence on her and how she compromised herself for somebody who doesn't even respect herself.
As for Charlie, his horrible decision making ofc comes to bite him, his old boss Joe is back and is impressed to see the restaurant under Charlie's ownership maintaining but peaking, even his siblings are proud to see all the progress he's made, but they eventually find out why business is really blooming and find out it's being moved away and ofc Claudia kicks and screams, Bailey calls Charlie stupid & Julia is acting like she has any right to pass judgment on him, honestly Bailey is the only person who's opinion truly matters which even Charlie knew right away and begged Bailey for his help which he refused, so now all alone got drunk and picked bar fights until he was arrested and then decides to profess his love to Kirsten who tells Charlie she's getting married in a week.
So overall this episode was suprisingly good, Julia seemed likeable, Bailey even tho wasn't in the episode still was effective, great to see Sarah & Justin have mini plots of there own, Claudia finally leaves her friend & Charlie's actions are beginning to catch up to him 8/10.
Party of Five: Strange Bedfellows (1996)
Just unsure
I can understand why Bailey didn't like Will's new girlfriend mostly because she has alot of Jill vibes to her, and just how out there she is in many ways can clearly rub people the wrong way, and Bailey didn't really tell Will that he shouldn't date her, just that they don't like being around her, due to her demeanor, but I get why Will holds resentment towards Bailey given he took Sarah from her, at the end of the episode Bailey decides to own up to the idea that he has no right to judge anyone else over who they date, and allows Will to continue to date her.
The Justin/Julia storyline already annoys me and there still bringing up his dad cheating on his wife come on, luckily they didn't bore the audience by having him decide wheter he should tell the truth or not it's just nope he told the truth and now she's pregnant with another child, still Justin's first reaction to this revelation is to be an ass to his parents, seriously what does Julia see in this guy?, tho I get why his mom doesn't want them having sex he is clearly concerned for both of them, and who would blame her tbh.
As for the Charlie storyline didn't seem to care and seemed like just an excuse for Claudia to act like an obnoxious brat for the whole episode, I'm telling you if she was smoking cigarettes in front of my face all because she's upset I'm dating her teacher I would rip that cigarette out of her mouth and washed her tongue with soap, but it is the double standard he tends to use towards both Julia & Claudia, he's fine with Julia having unprotected sex with Justin, but horrified with Claudia smoking cigarettes, as for the teacher stuff I can't see Charlie being truly interested in her until Claudia assumed that's what's going on, and I just am getting sick of how fast Charlie moves on from woman to woman almost as much as Claudia, but still she does need to respect the guy who could call child services on her at any second, and even Charlie is starting to get sick of her antics, we know he won't do anything about it, but Claudia's friend did convince her to stop being a brat and let Charlie date her teacher, so that seemed generous of her.
Overall not my favorite episode and this episode really is about passing judgment on others.
Party of Five: Change Partners... and Dance (1995)
I thought Charlie was the worst turns out it's Julia
Seriously people seem to ignore the fact that Julia let go of Claudia which cause crash on her wrist on impact and now she might not perform like she used to, sure it was Bailey's idea to perform the move but it was Julia who caused the injury and nobody cares, that's one gripe I have with the show with how little they care about her and dismiss her getting injure, Claud sweetie I know family is important to you but even u have a breaking point to this madness, and Julia doesn't seem to care that she injured her sister her main concern is if her brothers will like her new boyfriend, which both Charlie & Griffin think is a stupid idea but play along and it fails miserably, but Julia does make it up to Charlie for hiring such a garbage worker in Griffin by helping him dance to impress Kirsten (despite Julia hating Kirsten), which was sweet it kinda sucks Matthew & Neve we're never an item because I see them as a real life couple more than I do Scott & Paula when they were dating, as for the Bailey stuff clearly he misses Jill and tries to make Sarah into Jill or atleast thinks she's into the stuff Jill only to realize that's not her and Sarah realizes that and decides to break it off with Bailey, who's know completely into her and after episodes of snubbing her. Overall this was a pretty ok episode I still wish the Claudia stuff was addressed more.
