very well played
15 February 2006
The Story about a boy-genius who wants nothing, than being a normal boy, is a well played and charmful story. The Boy is played by a real-life-boy-genius who plays the piano amazingly. Grandpa is the same actor as "Hitler" in "Der Untergang" and shows herewith his incredible talent for various roles.

The Movie has no gunfights, carcrashes or nudescenes. Its a simple, heartwarming story, which takes you away from the fast and hectic daily life into a almost 2-hour-story, which is nothing but good and charming.

A silent movie, but nevertheless a real good one.

Go see it!
20 January 2006
Amazing mixture of real documentation, geniously played characters and fictional story lines. A national disaster with a lot of questions behind it, is now a lot clearer. Who's fault was it, that on this octoberday in 2001 the planes of the proud Swissair were grounded? The movie does not tell this in a final way, but leads you to an opinion, which could be new to the audience.

Very well played by swiss actors Hanspeter Müller-Drossaart (as Mario Corti) and Gilles Tschudi (as Marcel Ospel). A really intense experience, especially if you witnessed the happenings on October 2nd, 2001.

One of the revolutionary "new" Swiss Movies. And there are more to come. Watch out for Director Michael Steiner, who's "Mein Name ist Eugen" has become last years most successful swiss movie.

Go and watch it! You're gonna see things, you never expect....

Crashers rock!
5 July 2005
Movie lives through Vaughn and Wilson. Both show an easy performance and want the audience to just simply have a good time.

The Story is nothing spectacular. If you liked "Meet the Fockers", you're gonna like this one as well.

Its the actors, who make the difference. Vaughn is hilarious and proofs, that he's much better in comedies than in "serious" movies. Wilson plays himself (as in every one of his movies) and scores a good 2nd place.

Walken is just Walken and thats worth half the ticket. The girls are gorgeous. Especially Rachel McAdams knocked me out. Holy Cow! The Crashers are good fun. Not an new invention of the genre, but especially because of the actors, this movie rocks!
