Mientras dure la guerra (2019)
PROPAGANDA
Communist always the good guys, while nationalist always the bad guys. It is always evil to protect your own fatherland and to destroy through revolution in the guise of liberty and equality is always the "answer" to the "oppression" of the patriots. Only lazy people would believe in this junk.
You Should Have Left (2020)
It was Great
Life is straightforward, until you bend it.
I don't quite get the bad reviews that it's gotten. Yes it was slow paced but the film was meant to be slow in order for it to be effective on revealing the plot.
Watch it for yourself, don't get easily influenced. Enjoyed it. Don't miss the symbolism.
8/10
Jurassic World (2015)
Finally some justice from the sequels
The film made me look back and I profoundly find time indeed flies so fast without even realizing it. Watching it, brings back so much of my young memories one of the many reasons why i enjoyed every minute of it. Finally, a sequel that the Jurassic Park deserved. Beautifully shot, well crafted CGI's, great acting, uncannily striking but magnificent dinosaurs. The plot may be predictable but it is what it is in Jurassic franchise plots "they never learn".
This should be on everyone's watchlist esp if you're a fan of the franchise or even if you're just a casual moviegoer, you definitely don't want to miss this. There's a reason why it is about to devour movie records.
Jurassic Park will always be Jurassic Park but hey lighten up this is better than the sequels, right? It disgust me upon reading some bad reviews. If this movie wasn't worth your time and buck, then i don't know what is.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)
rushed but still a must see
I cannot remember the last time i was so psyched up going to the theater, my expectations and excitement almost burst. well to start off, it's safe to say andrew garfield is better than mcguire he's portrayal was more natural it's like the guy was born to play peter parker on screen.
jamie foxx (electro) and dane dehaan (norman osborn) characters were underdeveloped, it's kind of a letdown because their talents were wasted in this film especially jamie foxx. for emma stone well, what more could i say aside from being a comic book fan she's the reason i envy spider-man, she's perfect beyond words. her connection with garfield is something, their chemistry is perfectly blend.
cinematography, action and visuals were appreciable but i also had my fair share of disappointments the plot was a little messed up, character development and utilization were rushed that it could have been a perfect 10 but don't get it twisted guys i did enjoy the film, it was fantastic, a perfect birthday treat for my brother. disregard all the things you read and heard, some people enjoyed, some people did not but do yourself a favor go see it and make your own judgement. definitely a don't miss sequel
Sabotage (2014)
solid action film
First off, the main reason I watched this is because of Arnold. I did not expect anything great from this film at all so i just set my standards low and i was surprised how it turned out, I enjoyed the movie it was decent at best, the story were surprising it has some solid twists on it. I only have two problems with this film, first the character utilization and development. second the cameras it was pretty shaky it almost made my eyes bleed but other than that, the film was enjoyable though it could have been better still i recommend it to all Arnold fans. the film was worth my penny and time, just don't mind the critics they just don't enjoy films because they were too occupied pointing out the negatives.
In Bruges (2008)
truly a masterpiece!
the first half of the film is not entirely the approach you expected, it can be boring for some and perhaps will keep most of you skeptical but wait till you see the most significant scene and a sudden sense of interest will strike you. you'll be amazed how quick your perception towards this film change
funny and very humorous, thrilling, dramatic, action with a touch of violence and has a bit of romance all in one. the acting was superb and all characters are well developed and all serve it's own purpose. it may be the simplest plot but the most well written and done in a sensational manner
it's appalling how underrated this great film is and doesn't have the recognition it supposed to have.
World War Z (2013)
entertaining, thrilling but flawed and can be a head scratcher for some
I haven't read the novel so my review is solely based on the film.
This film has all the chances and the potential to be one of the greatest "Zombie Apocalypse" movie of all time, I was totally expecting a concept that nobody has done before till it kept teasing us with those questionable and feebly scenes especially when they always startled the "zekes". The story lacks depth, the only distinctive thing about this film is that the zombies were extraordinary in my opinion, they were very intense, fast and so hard on people that made me cringe (not your average walking dead zombie). However, It's still a disappointment especially for those audiences who expected a lot on this film (including me)
On a positive note, hands down to Brad Pitt he did a remarkable and outstanding job portraying the protagonist, the savior & the father that will do everything for his family whatever's at stake, it may conceivably the reason why it's facile to relate, empathized & root for him. i'll give this movie 7 out of 10, i could have rated it lower but i was blown away by the cinematography and how Brad Pitt carried the burden of this film. This film may not be on a staggering or spectacular level but it's still worthy to be a box office hit
