Two Hats (2012)
Andrew Garcia Documentary of the Wells legacy
There is a legacy that is born and a legacy that is achieved. Faithful, dedicated family unity is portrayed in this modern generational family. The timeline spreads over 30 years with really good footage of Papua New Guinea. The ups, mostly all positive, but also the downs of conflict are in the live recordings. Filmed in various locations. Not a staged reality show, but real and raw with locals and their testimonies. Natives add their input to the work being done that is not only humanitarian but lifting the spirits of old and young alike. Garcia finds the family members serving and caring for one another and rural folks they are trying to reach. Some by foot, others by airplane or rough 4 wheel drive roads, even radio broadcasts are used. So good to find this film for free on Amazon prime 12/2020. The Title, Two Hats comes from a quote shared by a British immigrant. He's the real deal, an agricultural entrepreneur, neighbor and friend of the family with a perspective we can all learn from.
Replicas (2018)
UNDER RATED !
Reeves and Eve are excellent, as well as the rest of the cast. The plot thickens and you'll be up past your bedtime anticipating the great ending -St John ( screen play) and Hamel ( writer) will not disappoint those who like a twisting discovery plot with a bright sunny ending! There's some action, good protagonism, and
the supporting actors were very realistic in their characters. Or did they even need to act their parts?
E.M.P.: 333 Days (2018)
Worth the watch
Not slow, 60 seconds into the film and there are questions presented that the viewer will be looking for answers to. It's well produced. Never met any of the production crew and I'm not one of the cast as other reviewers are suggesting.
Thinking about possible survival needs in America is far from most folks minds, but very near in 3rd world countries. EMP ? Go ahead and laugh, till it one happens. . An economic collapse or weather related disaster is a real possible and historically proven possibility. SO, having something prepared, or preparing people, is not counter productive. I liked the journal entry that revealed some of the thoughts that are hard to author on screen.
