Queens of Mystery (2019)
We love this show!
Hubby and I were so glad to see a second season of this show has been released! Love the characters, especially that the lead character isn't the real focus of the show. Each of the aunts has special talents, contributing to the resolution. We especially love seeing Julie Graham, again, as we have appreciated her work in other series. Not a show to take too seriously, but a good bit of fun.
Murder in Provence (2022)
A lovely surprise!
We gave this series a try bested on the casting. We have really enjoyed Roger Allam in "Endeavor" and Nancy Carroll in "Father Brown". This has not disappointed! We love the scenery, and the interaction of the leads is very good. We hope this series enjoys a long life, and heartily recommend it! A Britbox Original that has excellent production values.
The Cleaner: The Aristocrat (2021)
Stephanie Cole for the win!
What a delight to see Stephanie Cole, again, and in such a terrific role! I love the interaction between the characters, how the story unfolds, and the twist ending. Our new favorite show.
Only Murders in the Building (2021)
Good fun
We enjoy binge watching these, since they are so short. Don't take this series seriously, and you'll enjoy it, too! Fun to see Nathan Lane in this kind of a role, the gimmick of a silent episode, and Steve Martin and Martin Short clearly enjoying themselves.
Murdoch Mysteries: Kill Thy Neighbour (2020)
Always a joy to see Colin Mochary
Another delightful episode, and it's been a joy to see Colin Mochary as a guest in several episodes. It shouldn't be a surprise to see him, as he's so well known in Canada, but I'm always happy to see his name in the credits!
Mr. & Mrs. North: A Good Buy (1952)
Spot the guest!
Honestly, half of the fun of these old shows is spotting the actors, this episode graced us with Caroline Jones. Oh, those eyes!
Murdoch Mysteries: Sir. Sir? Sir!!! (2018)
What a hoot!
It became obvious quite early on that his episode wasn't to be taken seriously. We laughed so hard watching this. It is necessary to pay attention to all of the dialogue, as there are some real gems. As Constable Crabtree is the hero, we thought for sure it was going to turn out to be that this was the story line if one of his "graphic novels". Enjoy.
Murdoch Mysteries: 8 Footsteps (2017)
A who's who of characters and actors in this episode.
What a joy to see Colin Mochrie in this episode! Helen Keller, Anne Sullivan, Alexander Graham Bell, and many more! I love when this show uses historical characters to create a new story.
Sherlock (2010)
Simply exceptional
The casting is perfect, and each episode is quite generous. I couldn't rate it or recommend it more highly.
Partners in Crime (2015)
Lovely remake
I admit to liking Agatha Christie, and have watched other versions of Tommy and Tuppence, but I really enjoyed this version. Too bad it only lasted one season. Interesting casting. I'd love to see them do more.
