La Trattoria Sitcom (2015)
Great Show!!!
I don't know what this last reviewer is talking about, what show was he/she watching? I think La Trattoria, is a fresh approach to a sitcom, it's something new with a reality feel to it and I thought it was funny. I would like to see more of it. What can I say, I liked it, I thought the scenario and storyline was pretty good. Maybe it's not as slick as some of the American sitcoms, but I think it's intentional, to make it feel like you're in the moment. And criticizing great actors like Doris Roberts and Robert Loggia for being in this show is crazy. These actors have been around for a long time, they get a lot of scripts sent to them, I'm sure they are selective of the projects they work on, and they select the projects they like and feel have potential to be good for them and that's what they did with La Trattoria.
Real Gangsters (2013)
Loved It!
Real Gangsters is a crime flick in the tradition of New York City Gangsters starring Nick Mancuso and Frank D'Angelo, a psychotically violent crime boss trying run the city with the help of his crew. Set in modern day with a killer R&B soundtrack written by Frank D'Angelo, we watch as the two cousins navigate through realistic scenarios that stand in the way of their lives. Violence and coarse language is expected in this type of movie and Frank D'Angelo does a great job in his first movie role that plays to his strengths allowing him to be both smart and deadly. The other great thing I loved is that this movie brought back a lot actors that I used to love watching on the big screen like Margot Kidder, John Savage, Robert Loggia, Steven Bauer and others. Put it on your list of crime movies to watch, this will be one of the classics.
