Beyond Impossible (2022)
An absolute JOKE of a documentary
Vinnie, a 58 yr. Old anti-vegan who looks 68, calls himself a Fitness Consultant. First line of this doc is "You've been lied to." Yes indeed, Vinnie, if one attributes any veracity to this ant-vegan rant, then they will soon realize how you've lied. Never have I seen a doc so full of holes, misinformation and ignorant of veganism, that it emerges as a total joke, just like its filmmaker.
Vinnie cries that no one would debate him about healthy diets, as he contacts professional doctors and nutritionists who have devoted their careers to nutrition, as if they should waste their time with this insignificant U-tuber who has a vendetta against the plant-based food industry. He slams this industry for its "capitalistic" endeavors, while he builds his own career and following of anti-vegans, the hypocrisy seeps thru the holes.
Vinnie cries that this industry is too processed, too unhealthy and too inferior, while simultaneously ignoring the meat industries like Smithfield, JBS, Foster Farms...so many others, who process their enslaved and tortured animals with hormones, antibiotics, vitamin supplements and more to combat the feces, urine, ammonia, viruses and other diseases in which they are forced to endure until their execution.
I Know This Much Is True (2020)
Depressing, repetitive and ultimately boring.
It began as an interesting story, but after the 3rd episode, there was nothing else to learn or to keep your interest. It should have stopped here, but it kept going to include unneeded garbage...in Italian, with poor subtitles...about their Italian father from the past. A waste of time. In addition, watching Dom (Mark) chain-smoke throughout the movies made absolutely no sense, except to show that this project was financed by big tobacco. Rosie O"Donnell was the highlight of the film...the only star who made it worth watching.
Sunday Girl (2019)
Such a waste of time
I have never seen a movie from Gravitas Ventures that was worth watching. This one is no exception. The characters are not only untalented but unattractive and amateurish. You can watch this bimbo Natasha, the "Sunday Girl" smoking in almost every scene. This one obviously funded by big tobacco. Avoid it like lung cancer.
120 battements par minute (2017)
If you've got over 2 hours to waste...
First, the good: Visually, this was really beautiful and inspiring. Also, the production was professional. But that's where it ends. This overrated, bloated exercise in tedium will leave you wondering why you bothered. There is virtually no story, no plot, just an unlikely, unbelievable relationship that emerges out of nowhere between an older male in his 30s and a young teenager of 17. If you enjoy watching artificial sex scenes between these 2, bordering on pedophilia, you might enjoy the film. In addition, if you want to see a pic totally funded by and in promotion of big tobacco, this is for you. Nearly every scene, nearly every character is smoking a cigarette, despite how stupid and phony this looks.
This is the price the viewer must pay for a major studio production promoting smoking and man/boy sex.
Head On (1998)
Absolutely nothing of interest...
...except if you like watching the random sex scenes with a character you care nothing about. Or maybe if you enjoy watching scene after scene of this guy smoking, using drugs, more smoking, more drugs, some Greek dancing, more smoking, more drugs...all of which goes nowhere.
Apo tin akri tis polis (1998)
Total boredom, total garbage.
If you enjoy watching characters that you could not care the least bit about, watch them smoke, use drugs, smoke, use drugs, smoke, smoke, smoke, throughout the movie, in every single scene, well, that's your action. The scenes could be in reverse order and it wouldn't matter. There's nothing to see, to figure out or to care about...just watch them smoke, smoke, smoke, smoke...Oh! how daring! How edgy!
Feral (2016)
A real disappointment
The first couple episodes seemed promising, then it all went downhill. No character development, and we therefore do not care about any of the actors. Sappy, boring scenes abound, with absolutely no plot or story ever evolving. What's worst, the music throughout was just awful and very annoying. It simply added to a very annoying serial. It is no wonder it lasted only one season.
Fulboy (2015)
Absolute garbage.
No plot, no purpose, no acting and no staying awake. Good luck if you can watch more than 15 minutes of this without screaming.
Big Little Lies (2017)
It's a 10 out of 10
It is just too bad that there is no season 3 and beyond. A definite hats-off to these awesome actors and to HBO.
The Danger of Positive Thinking (2018)
Just total krap!
What may sound interesting in the description is NOT what you get with the film. I must say, I have never seen a movie from Gravitas Ventures that had decent acting, good audio or even a watchable story/plot.
Dominion (2018)
Reality bites
This is the movie that made me go vegan. I watch it over again when I need to cry. It is the horror movie of my lifetime, yet a movie that every person on the planet should see. The world once claimed "Nie Wieder" after the holocaust of world war II. But indeed, we have said "Yes, Again" by inflicting this animal holocaust, worse than ever, due to such a barbaric food industry and the unethical carnivores that support it.
American Crime Story (2016)
A waste of your time
How did this series get such a high rating? Boring and waaaaay too long, as well as poor performances. OJ is miscast. Schwimmer is completely unbelievable, and Travolta comes off looking like an idiot. I could not take more than 2 episodes. Unless you like to watch Sarah Paulson chain smoke throughout (big tobacco-financed garbage) avoid it.
Submission (2019)
Really bad.
Like most of the crap that Gravitas Ventures puts out, this one is no exception.
Use Me (2019)
Such a waste of time
Pretentious, poorly-acted (if you call this acting), unlikable characters, not the least bit sexy and just pure garbage. Not worth your time to watch...hardly worth my time to review.
The Leftovers (2014)
Don't waste your time
Interesting cinematography, interesting characters, decent acting...but a plot (if you can call it that) which goes nowhere. The producers have no idea what the hell they're doing, so you will likewise have no clue. The "leftovers" in white are really silly and annoying at best. Watching them chain-smoke and write everything down is laughable, if not pretentious and meaningless. Maybe the creators of this bomb want us to fill-in-the-blanks or consider it (somehow) profound. One thing is obvious, the series is funded by the tobacco industry. I don't just mean the morons in white who chain-smoke throughout, but the main characters are also constantly lighting-up, for no reason, just to promote smoking for financing this dud. Take a pass on this one or you'll be disappointed.
