Before seeing Sin City, I had wondered to myself "What all the hype about? I mean, sure it's a fairly popular comic book series, but not as popular as let's say Spiderman or X men." But being a comic book fan I dragged myself in front of the screen and watched it. When the credits rolled on, I'd cocked my head to one side and smiled saying to myself and said: "Not at all bad." Very noir. But done in a new style thats not often seen. The whole movie is done in black and white with the exception of small details once in awhile (ei. eyes, blood once in a while, etc.) The black and white effect gave it such a classy look, and if blood and gore isn't your thing it definitely helps ease the pain a little bit. I know that there has been a lot of hype about the cast but has anyone else noticed that they scraped these actors of the floor? I mean, none of them are at the peak of their careers, in fact they're all whinding down. Not that your going be disappointed because it's actually quite interesting how they tie together and make the movie what it is. The only downsides to this movie I would say all depend on your movie going tastes. If you don't like hookers mixed with senseless violence perhaps it's not for you. But like any marvel/DC/comic-book-gone-to-movie it's action packed and a wonder to the eye.
