It had potential
17 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
"B" rated? Sure. Did it have potential? Yes. I'll take a good story over bad acting any day. Just entertain me. I wanted to stop watching it when the barbarians thought they were Tusken Raiders.

The noises and acting like morons did not help the film either.

Barbarians are supposed to be tough but this comes right out of the mind of a child that rolled a low dice number and put it on INT score on their D&D character sheet.

Then the next moment, somehow they're not idiots, then they are again.

This movie has no consistency outside of its disarray.

It was a good attempt but it had bad direction even if it had the happy ending you could see from a mile away.

Clerks III (2022)

Not what I expected
7 March 2023
I've watched Kevin Smith films since the beginning and have enjoyed his public speaking specials at different events. It is always nice to see others with a similar mind set about life and yet have some differences as well.

I also got a big chuckle when he would use jokes on talk shows and they would bomb even if he did the same joke in a special and receive a huge applause and laughter.

Now all of that fluffy stuff is out of the way. Kevin Smith has followed his dream. He didn't make movies for us. He made movies for himself and we were lucky enough to come along for the ride.

I didn't start working at a gas station until I was almost 20 but I was a Mallrat long before that. In fact, I was there when they built the first mall in our area. I was there watching the digging in the field where the circus once came.

These are stories and memories I have and it is easy to follow along with Kevin's characters over the years.

So, the worst movie ever made by Kevin Smith?

Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.

It was so bad that it took me months after purchasing Clerks 3 on Vudu to watch the movie so that I could write a review on it. I'm cringing as I type about "Reboot."

So, Smith pulled off something I never expected. Tears. My cheeks were wet on more than one occasion and as I write this I find myself sad all over again.

There are a couple things that led me to tears and so I will not give out spoiler alerts.

I will give this suggestion though, watch it.

I was not disappointed.

Thank you Kevin for what you have brought to the fans.

Journey Quest - We want more!
1 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Leave it to the Dead Gentleman to knock another one out of the proverbial park. It is also time to point out that Matt Vancil is the Kevin Smith of fantasy. It is, with open eyes, a career that needs to be watched closely. The Gamers: Dorkness Rising, really allows the viewer to know and understand the acting styles of Christian Doyle, Brian Lewis, Nathan Rice, Scott C. Brown, Kevin Inuouye, and Jennifer Page. The Gamers: Dorkness Rising, left viewers with a sense of wanting to see more from these fine actors and actresses and the Dead Gentleman with the help of Zombie Orpheus Entertainment would not let the viewer's go without.

Adding new talent in the form of Anne Kennedy and Emilie Rommel Shimkus the crew sets out on yet another epic journey to entertain the people with the latest installment, "Journey Quest." Here Christian Doyle (Perf) is a cowardly mage who is trying to leave the adventure that won't let him go. Watching the relationship between, Christian Doyle and Brian Lewis, in the Gamers: Dorkness Rising, gives you a good idea on how these two actors feed off of each other to create many funny moments.

*** Spoiler Alert ***

In Journey Quest the people watching get to see Brian Lewis go from playing a complete a**hole In the Gamers: Dorkness Rising, to playing a fun loving character that meets an unfortunate end only to be become a living zombie.

Journey Quest is one of the best films of 2010 and will make for a spectacular item to add to any movie collector's collection when it is complete.

Keep up the great work as the viewer's wait on pins and needles to see episode 8.
