Mercy Falls (2023)
Mercy Fell
I watched 'Mercy Falls' with so much expectations.
On the poster 'Mercy Falls' with Lauren Lyle headlined on the poster. Ok, I'll be honest I've never heard of Lauren but when you have a name headlining a poster, then I expect that person to carry a film. Unfortunately,I felt Lauren failed to do that.
Nicolette McKeown was excellent. Her name should've headlined the poster imo as she was brilliant.
I feel, that ropey acting (and some ropey directing)hindered the film.
The actors especially the guys unclear with dialogue.
Better casting might've made this a gem of a film. Nico was main star.
Homeless Ashes (2019)
Homeless Story Hits Mark sending Message
Being an actor/writer/filmmaker myself I think it's important to support other film makers on their projects and go see the finished product to give an opinion albeit unbiased one at that.
I've known for a while now that Marc Zammit was making a feature film which was going to be ambitious yet very poignant and would read updates on things such as crowd funding and how the film was doing in general. I knew the film was about telling the story of homelessness and the horrors of living on the streets.
Having watched the film I have to say that everything from the acting and direction to the camera angles and importantly the message it sent to us all about homelessness and how dangerous it can be living on the streets. The film is amazing and I enjoyed everything about it and touched various emotions within me as I watched it including sadness, anger and love for the main character.
In my opinion everything about this film is a triumph. Beginning, middle and end of the film kept me focused and going through the motions like an emotional roller coaster ride.
But all in all a big credit to the cast, crew and writer in delivering a fantastic film. A massive well done!!
Star Wars (1977)
Timeless Classic,Great Sci-Fi Characters and Awesome plot.
Watching the Star Wars trilogy always enchanted my childhood which included purchasing figures and spaceships and re-enacting the space battles from the movies. This first movie A New Hope was way ahead of its time and the characters in this first instalment lead us on the greatest ever journey in the quest of good against evil. Before they even added the cgi I still thought the effects were out of this world( no pun intended)and will forever treasure my childhood memories watching this for the first time ever and buying it on VHS and watching it over and over again. Luke Skywalkers character kind of inspired me to being an actor because the message you got from him was you can never not do anything. Belief can get you to where you want to be,realised once the fate of his Aunt and Uncle were sealed. To me though I always endeared myself to Han Solo and always thought he was cool. When I saw him in this for the first time I always wanted to be him. And the Beautiful Princes Leia made my heart flutter even though she was tough as old boots. Absolute Classic is what I think of this Movie.
