Full House (1987)
Lightweight, often irritating family comedy
Full House is corny beyond words. There are unlikeable characters and unfunny blandness aplenty. It's only watchable if you're sick in bed recovering from surgery or are under 6 and have low expectations. There's anal neat-nick and control freak Danny, widowed father of 3 girls. I think the girls are the only redeeming part of the show. Sweet, slightly spoiled Michelle, cool DJ and normal Stephanie. Danny can't handle being a newly single parent so he enlists the help of two losers, I mean fellows, his bud from college Joey and tuff guy bully bro in law Jesse. How tough can you be with a girl's name? Jesse is highly irritating: He's such an arrogant narcissist, I just roll my eyes whenever he struts around in his cowboy boots and leather coat or talks about his hair. Whenever he says "Have mercy," I want to toss the TV out the window. Joey's impressions and childish behavior are less annoying. The man is not funny. Neither is the show.
Loose Screws (1985)
Unfunny, juvenile rubbish
Wow, I hated this movie. Attractive women, check. Entertaining? Barely. I thought it was moronic, sexist, and overall not funny. I thought the writers and producer(s) really needed to grow up. Lustful teen guy dressed in drag so he can get into the girls' dorm and ogle the innocent, ditzy, big-breasted chicks is disgusting. Character names like Mona Lott, Steve Hardman, Something Poulet (Pull it...) Hugh Rection...Come on. And racist. Scene in a massage parlor with dorky Asian music and a stupid stereotyped Oriental accent. Yes, this movie was made in the 80s but it still ticked me off. You might enjoy this if you're a immature jerk who's short on brain cells living in your folks' basement. I wish I could get about one hour and one half of my life back. Eye roll.
Good Luck Charlie (2010)
Poor role models for kids, some inappropriate things
Where to start? I am seriously disappointed with the show. Poor role models for kids, especially for teen girls, irritating adults, annoying music and "laugh track" recording. The worst part for me was having teenage "Teddy Duncan" get back together with her lying, cheating boyfriend. What kind of message does that send to tween girls? Come on, Disney Channel. And one episode had her fantasizing about 3 different boys. Inappropriate! I don't care for her father "Bob" either. He comes off as grumpy and arrogant. "Amy Duncan" is one of the bright spots for me. Drama queen, diva, but funny. I love the babies, they're awfully cute, especially "Charlie." And I like the storyline, big sister making video diaries for little sister. So some bright spots but I'm still disappointed overall.
