If Only (2004)
10/10
The Most Touching Movie EVER!
28 January 2006
I have seen "If Only" at least 20 times since I first heard of it. It is the most touching film I have ever seen. The story takes place in London, with an American singer named Samantha (Jennifer Love Hewitt) who is dating an English man (Paul Nicchols). He doesn't appreciate her. Then, a day comes when he realizes all that he feels for her, but it's the same day that she dies. It seems to be too late for any salvation, but the day rewinds, and he gets another chance. The only problem is, the events from the day before happen on this new day as well. So even though he does his best to change fate, he has to show her how much she's loved by him in case the day has the same outcome! "If Only" is the best movie there is! It's sad, funny, touching, and endearing all at once. Jennifer Love Hewitt gives a knock-out, four star performance. This is the first movie that completely shows her wide range in acting. And the songs she sings in this film ("Take My Heart Back" and "Love Will Show You Everything") will most definitely bring a tear to your eye, given the context of the film. This is the kind of movie that makes you realize that you shouldn't take anyone for granted, cuz you may never have a chance to show them how you really feel. It also makes you think how lucky you would be if you had this kind of love in your life.

Everyone should see this film. If it doesn't make you think, then you are heartless. **** stars out of ****!!!

Touched by Evil (1997 TV Movie)
8/10
Touched by Paula
13 January 2006
I watched and recorded this movie when it first aired, just because Paula Abdul was in it. But I actually like it. It's obvious who the rapist is immediately, and Paula has some of the stupidest lines, but I liked this movie. It just has something that makes you want to watch it and see what happens at the end, even though you know it's coming. But mainly for Paula fans. She did better than people would suspect. The ending won't shock you. The plot in general won't shock you. But it's still a good TV movie in it's own right. I could definitely see Paula going on to better acting roles. "Touched By Evil" was #3 in it's timeslot when it first aired, so obviously people enjoyed it enough to finish it to the end.

Ghost Whisperer (2005–2010)
10/10
Keep whispering...People Are Listening!
30 September 2005
I have just finished the second episode of "Ghost Whisperer," and I felt compelled to leave a comment. This is the best television show of the new season. Melinda Gordon (Jennifer Love Hewitt) own an antique shop, has recently gotten married, and deals with everyday stress. But unlike anyone else, she has the ability to help ghosts finish their unfinished business and cross over to the other side. The first episode started off as horror, with some extremely disturbing visuals. But it turned into one of the most emotional stories I have ever watched, and the second episode follows in that tradition. I am a guy, and most people think that either this is a chick flick, or a teen horror show, but that's not the case. This drama shows that you should never take things for granted and that you should always do the best you can do! Because you never know if tomorrow will come. There are some people who don't believe in ghosts, and some that do. Either way, this show deserves a chance because it makes the phenomenon believable with convincing performances and story lines.

I am glad to see "Ghost Whisperer" performed well in it's deathly time slot on a Friday night, and hope that it will continue. Jennifer Love Hewitt has always been one of my favorite actresses, but on this she really outdoes herself, playing a character more her age. She is all at once funny, sad, empathetic, scared, happy, angry, and peaceful all in a 45 minute range. She's really outdone herself with this show, and hopefully it will make people respect her as an actress even more than they already do. Please, no matter what you believe in, give this show a chance. It is worth the while!!

The Ring Two (2005)
4/10
Should've never been made
18 March 2005
Let me start off by saying that "The Ring" was a fantastic and disturbing film filled with a lot of suspenseful moments and an interesting back story. That's hardly the case with "The Ring Two." The beginning is basically a re-hash of the first film's beginning, with absolutely no suspense, and corny images. I actually laughed out loud at how corny some scenes were. The whole movie goes by and tries to make logic, while it completely throws out the logic of the first film, where the only way you were safe was to make a copy of the video. The deer scene looked completely fake, and didn't even make sense in the plot...even when you find deer horns in the basement. It never came together. Also, the whole second hour doesn't even TRY to scare the audience at all until the last few minutes, and even then it doesn't work. So, don't hold your breath in suspense. There's not even any false scares.

My theory is that the filmmakers rushed to write this movie after the success of the first one, just to throw it out and make more money, without taking the time to add any logic to the story. There was barely a plot. Also, Naomi Watts was in contract to do the sequel after the first one. That's the only way I see she would've made this movie after the script. At least she acts good and does her best with what she's given.

I will say that the water imagery and the cinematography were outstanding, creating a creepy atmosphere. But it never went anywhere. There were a few interesting parts where I thought the movie would turn into something really good, but that never happened. BOTTOM LINE: Even if you're a fan of the original (like me), you will hate this one.
