Bo Burnham: Inside (2021 TV Special)
10/10
Brilliant. Crazy. True. Honest.
30 September 2022
The entire special is one crazy (literally and metaphorically) solo show, build in a unique way to demonstrate the madness of the pandemic. A beautiful project by Bo Burnham!

The show is not build for one to be laughing. It's not a traditional stand up or a comedy show. It represents a man dealing with the Pandemic in a truly unique way.

This is one of the few things I'll mark as full 10s due to the brutal reality of his mental state and how he represents it visually. Build by a single person, during a pandemic, it is a demonstration of Burnham's skills as a modern artist - eons above most. He's far from my favorite, but this special was a true piece of art.

A pleasant film
15 March 2021
It is an average movie on it's own and I would give it a 5. However, this is the first time I've seen a film based on "The Call of the Wild" book that doesn't actually suck. It was just a pleasant experience and I would probably watch it again in a few years, if someone asks me to. 5/10 with a +1 for being the first tCofW that is an actual film!

A strong title!
23 January 2020
The story is a look at teenage life through the eyes of a boy - Miles, but what really interests me is - Alaska, a girl that seems like the typical 1st-year-philosopher, that is fighting her own problems without us really having a look in her soul, until later in the series. I actually really disliked her in the beginning, but she broke through my emotional walls.

The series start as a typical teen movie, but it evolves into something more, something better. I'm so glad that I didn't stopped at the 4th episode, because the 5th and 6th are absolutely worth it. I will revisit this review after I watch the end of the season.

A whole lot of stupid, EXTREMELY CORNY fun
19 April 2019
I'm not sure if i can add something to this. That film makes me smile all the time, it is so ridiculous. It is so fast paced and simple, that I have no time to think about all the errors in it. I just don't notice them, exactly because I have so much stupid fun. Awesome TV family movie. The final ... oh that final. Seriously, I haven't had so much laugh at people kicking their asses for a while. Watch that movie with friends, I believe it will be twice as funny.

I really like this movie!
2 November 2018
That was a solid, emotional movie. It was directed at an extremely high level. It was a slow film, which I find myself loving more and more, as it gives the director more time to forward his vision to the screen. And this Director surely does that.

It is a brilliant film about a girl coming to terms with her sexual preference and coming of age at the same time. It is not easy, it's full of emotions, bad and good,

The film is strange at times, I was often wondering where it goes from certain point, but it always delivered.

Great film, will recommend!

P.s. I'm a sucker for good sex scenes as they are seriously ignored in high-end cinema and this movie has one of the best I've seen.

I can't believe I actually liked it.
16 September 2018
After "The Last Jedi" I left the cinema extremely disappointed. Of the new films, I liked only J. J. Abrams' "The Force Awakens", until now. Solo was actually a decent Star Wars adventure story, that didn't have anything to major to be disappointed about. There were some stupid or over the top scenes, but I managed to ignore them. The only thing that bugged me throughout the whole film was Han's Dices which the Director keeps rubbing in our faces way too much. It feels undeserved from the Director to want of us to care about them..

Saying that, I want to really say: That movie is fun, interesting, universe-expanding and doesn't feel as long as it actually is, which is always good with 2 hour-long movies. It leaves you wanting more. That's what I want from Star Wars. I want to leave the cinema wanting MORE!

And Solo: A Star Wars Story managed exactly that.

Amazing first season and confusing second
15 August 2018
When I watched the first season I fell in love with the series. It's amazing script, actors and visual work are absolutely fantastic. In the end I felt like it didn't need any continuation, but the second season was already on it's way and I was EXCITED!

Not anymore. I watched it in three days and I was disappointed. In the end I didn't felt nothing but confusion. Why was the movie on several timelines, following enormous amount of heroes? It was just convoluted over the top. I would prefer to have just watched season 1 and feel great again. MAKE WESTWORLD GREAT AGAIN!

Great story, but way too much music.
16 November 2017
Great story, but way too much/too loud music. Like... overwhelmingly loud. I've grown to love silence in drama movies and the strength it gives the shot. Scenes that were emotional were drowned in heavy sound and it killed pretty much everything that would drive me emotional. If it wasn't for that, i would have given it higher score. The film is well made, the drama is strong and it has somewhat of a satisfying finish.

I probably won't watch it twice though. It's not that good and it's not really that memorable. Just part of the life of a random guy - Tragic part of a tragic life, but still, just a normal, broken guy.

6.5/10 Good movie, but not really much more.

Watch it as parody and you'll be kind of entertained.
14 September 2017
Seriously, it must be. It's so hilarious, without it wanting to be. It's just ridiculous. If it's a comedy (parody in particular), i can understand. If it's not a comedy, and unfortunately it's an action movie, it's horsedump.

It's all written from a 15 y. old aspiring to be a Screenwriter. The kids in the movie are like 50y. old in a 12y. old bodies. It's funny as hell, just because it's not the intention of the director and writers. They just don't know how to write them. Amazing.

Slow. Careful. Beautiful.
25 July 2017
Julia Koschitz is a emotionally wounded woman coming back from London to her hometown, where she is hired to be an English teacher. A student of hers played by Jonas Nay falls in love with her and tries to make her love him back.

A classic story, well made and beautifully directed. I absolutely loved it! I haven't watched a movie this touching with so little in it. It's short, goes on point. Pretty much no stupidity or at least not as noticeable as in most movies.

The transition between the future and the past are so well done. The actors play is absolutely on point.

The protagonists never made me feel like they are not real people. The actors did amazing job at portraying a forbidden relationship in a conservative town.

I'm waiting for the 3rd season!
12 July 2017
A series that made me laugh hard, feel sad and even got me to understand some things happening in American Football's backstage(i hate that sport, so it's kind of amazing they pulled it over, but it's HBO...).

A bunch of partygoers meeting the harsh reality of sports business. I won't say more than that.

I highly recommend it, if you want 20/35 minute episodes of a high quality show with the awesome Dwayne Johnson and his partner Rob Corddry that's a must!

Loved it!

i thought i would like it, but i did not.
10 April 2017
Well... i thought i would like it, but not really. Mostly the dialog is childish. I don't mean it's for children, but more like - it's written BY CHILDREN. It's quite often just stupid. The CGI is the thing that saves the movie and bagheera's cool attitude, but unfortunately i don't really liked it.
