Gangs of London (2020)
Average ... also the "Turks" speak more arabic than Turkish for some reason
The action sequences are done quite well and I like some of the characters.
The plot itself however and how it is (trying to be) carried by Cole is not very convincing. Seems all very obviously constructed and very average. Nothing really standing out.
Also for some reason the "Turks" in this show speak 80% arabic with a couple turkish words thrown into the mix. For someone that can tell the difference this is mildly insulting as Turks <> Arabs.
LOL: Last One Laughing Germany (2021)
Embarrassing not funny
In all honesty this was neither funny nor entertaining.
If it is the pinnacle of German comedy to randomly shave your head or to make random fart imitations to make others laugh then you did not miss much.
Midnight Mass (2021)
Phenomenal and underrated
Might be a bit slower than your usual TV show but all in all it really carries itself well and is mysterious and intense until the end. Great watch and definitely underrated with its current rating.
Giri/Haji (2019)
Hidden Gem!
Easily one of the better shows I have watched in the past 2 years. I was quite sad to find out that it did not get renewed for a 2nd season.
It is definitely a hidden gem that I would recommend anyone with who is a fan of crime dramas and a taste for great character development and story building to watch.
Watchmen (2019)
Reviews are clearly from heavily biased fanboys
Ok so first of all let me state that I am neither a huge fan of the movie nor did I think it is a bad movie. All in all pretty decent but in my humble opinion nothing extraordinary.
So when I heard that there is a TV show based on the movie/the comics I was relatively humble in my expectations, especially when I saw that the imdb score was below what I would usually even consider watching.
But boy oh boy this show is actually quit enjoyable. I have watched the 1st 3 episodes and I am really hooked. I like unconventional style in which the "heroes" are portrayed and on how everything comes together piece by piece.
My advice: Don't let the review scores scare you away and give this show a shot.
