Love the new "Sam"
2 December 2023
We love time travel shows and were excited about this show and glad it got a season two. Remember this is not a remake but a continuation of the original. There are references of the OG Sam and his crew. The casting is really well done and we appreciate the diversity. The show picks up with the time travel story line really well and each show there are good story lines that have resolution as well as a continuation of story lines with the extended cast. It feels bigger than the original and keeps your interest really well. It has been a fun show to watch and we would recommend watching for anyone that likes a new spin on a classic.

Super fun family film
13 February 2021
Definitely a fun movie for the entire family to watch together. We don't even have kids, yet we really enjoyed how fun this movie is. We laughed out loud and enjoyed the goonies like adventure as well as a little surprise by a former goonie that my husband pointed out because he hasn't changed at all. Anyway just a great reminder about the importance of family and such a beautiful filming location. We also loved the script, there were some funny one liners as well as pop culture references that we enjoyed. Definitely add to you family movie night.

Very disappointing
16 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Edited after making it through most of season 2: I had high hopes for this after all it is starring Ryan Phillippe and I will admit to being a fan. The first episode, oh boy what can I say, very predictable until they kill the only reason I wanted to watch. Bummer but OK let's give this a bit more time and root for the "best friends" who will fight for justice and solve the crime. Only the best friend cheated with her friend's husband and has pining flashbacks about how she loved him and of course get in the predictable fistfight over him. Come on, must you pit women against each other all the time? It is really hard to root for the characters in this show. No good anti-hero or hero, predictable psycho, and female characters that have no real voice. The victims of the crimes in this show are viewers, Season 2 starts out with kids witnessing a murder and taking a big bag of cash, now where the heck are they. I have never watched a show that has jumped from one story to the other so much. I am now bailing after they bring in a new guy from Texas. Literally the worst writing in television history.

A lot of obnoxious squealing
18 September 2020
And LITERALLY NO ORGANIZING advice. Recent episodes include a very small kitchen for a lovely family with several older kids. I also have a small kitchen and would have appreciated some insight in the organizational process, nothing just showed how they moved everything out and then the important part was edited out. Also I can't believe they didn't add pull outs to the lower kitchen cabinets allowing for visual of evertying in the cabinet.

Such a let down
10 September 2020
I was so excited about this show and so sadly dissappointed. So many women talking over each other and the high pitched screams of excitement completely take away from any type of inspiration for organizing. (Dr. Whiteney was so likeable and she saved the show from getting a 0)

Fantastic movie but
4 September 2020
The acting in this movie is beyoned superb, not just Chadwick but from everyone. Viola Davis as his mother is heart wrenching and I would have loved to see more of her in this film. Nelsan Ellis performance was also Oscar worthy and it breaks my heart he is another actor gone too soon. James Brown's life is truly an epic story of survival and talent, classic rags to riches. However IMHO that not telling this story in a linear timeline was a disservice to the entire story. Jumping back and forth from childhood to adulthood is pretty standard editing but the confusing part and where I believe the story got lost was jumping around in his career so much. One scene of one song jumps from time period to time period, this I did not understand. I found this non-linear story telling to be difficult to follow and left me trying to piece his sotry together rather than the movie telling me his story. I can't say that all non-linear story telling is difficult to follow sometimes it is done so well however in this instance it did not work.

The Aftermath (2019)

Good story & well acted
6 January 2020
The story takes place in Germany after World War II is over. I think the story is told really well and the acting is very good however it's only a two-hour long movie so it seems very rushed. I think it could have been edited better to show the passage of time better. I think this is a great example of not all of the elements coming together perfectly as you do see in great movies and the editing is the missing link here. Suspend the timeline reality for a moment and enjoy the movie it is really well done in so many other areas.

So extremely painful to watch
16 September 2019
Another unrealistic real estate/ design show that HGTV is know for. This one is special though as season 8 now has the couple divorced and it is now the most horribly uncomfortable thing to watch on television. So apparent that they pay these two to show up on filming day and the entire design and build is done by unknown staff. I can't believe the execs at HGTV thought this was a good idea.

Leaving Neverland gives victims a voice
4 March 2019
This is a very important documentary. A victim should never be afraid to speak up because they are afraid of not being believed, but this is typically the case. So many people turn a blind eye to victims and their situation because of a persons status in society. We live in a strange world of polarization and this is one of those topics that does this, but this documentary explains the story of two victims of sexual abuse from a very personal, real, and raw perspective. It is a voice that so many need to have and to hear. The shocking behavior that parents turn a blind eye to because of celebrity is real as well and must be torturous for them to have to live with. Watch this from a perspective of a victim and know that there is no amount of money that would make someone want to publicly bare their shame and sole is such a way.

Very entertaining and action packed
3 November 2017
It is so annoying when people comment and say they want realistic cop shows. This is TV and in no way shape or form is TV realistic in any way since the beginning of TV. Not at all realistic, I am sure however I have never been on a SWAT team so I don't have much to compare this to. I spend most of my time playing in the trash at the landfill, talk about reality. So a great break from reality is what I need and this show is just the ticket. Super entertaining and well acted. The writing is very good and believable. A Strong cast led by Shemar Moore with strong support characters. I am excited to watch the next show and look forward to a long run for this one.

Great acting great story
7 October 2017
Two strangers meet under unusual circumstances. This movie is beautifully acted and filmed. I think the casting for this was perfect and makes the movie work really well. Some may complain about the pacing of the film, that is one of the things I enjoyed most about the film. It gives you a chance to settle into the movie and get to know the characters, without being bored. The characters are different and their differences are well played out and described, then you see a shift and this is what makes this a really really good movie and a remarkable love story.
