No Time to Die (2021)
Disappointing even for a huge Daniel Craig as bond fan
This was by far the worst movie of Daniel Craig's tenure as Bond. I really enjoyed all of the previous films, but would have said that prior to this, Quantum of Solace was the worst of the bunch. So it's hard to acknowledge that No Time to Die was even worse.
Although Daniel Craig still gives an amazing performance, the story line was weak and they definitely didn't maximize having Rami Malek as the bad guy...he deserved a much better character and script.
The new 007 character, Nomi, could have also been an interesting development, but, not only was the storyline underwhelming but the acting was terrible!
As a huge fan of Bond and of Daniel Craig, I was really disappointed. I hoped for much more from the final installment of his era.
And the fact that, for the first time ever, Bond dies at the end...WTF?
Enlightened (2011)
Very good, but not for everyone
Enlightened is very well written and Laura Dern is excellent in her role as the protagonist.
A character that is hard to like, and actually annoying, and yet you still feel empathy for her and she fumbles through life, trying to do good.
It's a great mix of social commentary, satire and a dark humor brought to life with a mix of interesting, awkward, sad and oblivious characters.
I do find it leaves me feeling a little uneasy and pensive, and yet I still want to watch more because it is so well done.
If you are all about feel good, pure entertainment - then this is not a show for you.
You (2018)
Always entertaining
I have watched all 3 seasons and am always thoroughly entertained.
The acting is good and so is the writing. I thought Joe's running commentary in Season 3 was very well written.
Many reviews compare You to Dexter, but besides for the protagonist being a killer, I think the similarities end there.
There is a dark humor to You that Dexter didn't have, the main storylines are vastly different too...Joe isn't some vigilante killer taking out bad guys...his is a twisted love story.
Anyway, I would say this is definitely worth watching!
Man on Fire (2004)
Excellent!
Great story line and the acting is outstanding!
Denzel Washington should have won an Oscar for this role.
Superb on all fronts.
The Little Things (2021)
Great cast, good story
Definitely worth watching!
Amazing cast and a good story line. Holds your attention the whole movie.
Maybe not quite a Seven, but close.
The Cold Light of Day (2012)
Possibly the worst movie I have ever watched
The story line is totally predictable. The acting is even worse. I'm sorry I ever decided to spend a Sunday afternoon watching this on Netflix. No matter how bored you are...this is still not worth it!
I Care a Lot (2020)
What a waste of time
Badly acted. Stupid story line of a corrupt female lawyer that somehow (totally unrealistically) beats the Russian mafia...yes it's that stupid
