The acting is great. Always like Justin Long in horror. The setting and filming is very good.

Definatley not a masterpiece. But it's new and very unexpected. Worth a watch for pretty much everyone. Horror fans will love it. People that get scared easy will enjoy it even more and will be able to watch it.

There is 2 things in the movie I was not a fan of but it is not the story. Just parts of it that was unnecessary. But they don't last long at all.

All in all, a very fun watch.

This movie is hard to watch. I had no ideal what I was about to watch. Did not see trailers or heard about it. The beginning is very reminiscent of my own childhood witch made it very engaging. But once it starts, it hits like a brick. I do like what they did. They go for a not too graphic shock and disturbing shot. Then the abuse is implied for the most part. Witch makes it easier to watch.

This is a true story. As a fan of true crime, I know what story this is reflecting and it impact so much more when you know that this is very close to what actually happened.

The acting was good. The setting and filming was also good. The movie could of been 30 min shorter.

My only gripes with this movie are the aging, witch will make sense when you see it. And the ending does not make "sense" to me.

Hard to recommend this kind of movie but not a bad watch.

This is not a comedy. And for the 1st 30 minutes, its a little cringe. But I like it. It's not pushed too far and has it's porous.

The cinematic of this is great. You are watching the movie from the eyes of a schizophrenic. It is very subtle on a lot of it but what you see, is not what is. Some of it is in your face but a lot of it is not. Don't want to give anything away but on a 2nd watch, you question everything.

The story fallows an unstable person that is blurring the lines between good and evil after an accident. It's a perspective we rarely see.

This is in no way a masterpiece. But I would strongly recommend it. Worth the watch.

Let's start with the bad on this one. The 1st act is slow and not engaging. Lots of trying to get us to understand how the world works. There is also one part of it that is a huge plot hole that would be spoiling if I explained.

Other than that, very good movie. The acting is good and believable. The way it was film was good. I like the minimalist cgi of the interface . Easy to watch.

The story is nothing revolutionary but it's good. I would of prefer a little more dept in Sal.

All in all, nice thriller. Fun watch and does make you think a little with an ending I did not see coming.

Love the acting and the story. Was on edge for the back end of it. I know that it's based on an actual story and they don't fallow it but get the premise right. My only complaint is that the ending shot destroys the main character. I would of gone an other way with it. And there is a few things that made me say "why are you not just doing this or saying that." Witch I get it's to keep the movie going but it did take me out of it a couple time.

All in all, well worth the watch. If you are looking for a thriller well done.

This is not a masterpiece in story telling. But the story is fun and filled with great action. The best way to explain this movie with no spoiler is this. Think of smoking ace's done better and funnier.

The only bad thing I can say about this film, is one character did not really hit with me. Some of the CGI was over the top but it works with the movie.

A must watch? If you like action, comedy or Brad Pitt I say yes. I can see a few people not liking it but for most people, it is a fun experience.

Have not read the review for this one. Have no clue why it's rated so low. Is it a masterpiece? No. But it's a pretty good movie. With no spoiler at all. It's convicts being experimented on with a twist. Nothing really new but well done and enjoyable. I would check it out if I where you.

Let me start with these 2 point. If you are tired of young women empowerment for the sake of being inclusive in movies. It starts with that and then moves on from there to the point where it does not matter her sex but what she is doing. And if you liked the 1st movie, this is a must watch.

Let me start with the few bad points. 1st of all, not a fan of all the cgi animals. There is also a plot point with her that they missed the mark with or it was cut out.

But on the good side. Most importantly, the story is good. The action is very good. Slowish start but once it ramps up, it does not let go. Great forest setting. The acting was great and believable. For real fans of predators, there is a certain weapon that was a nice touch.

I enjoyed it very much.

Let's start with the obvious. It is a Marvel movie. So, action, setting, effects, etc. Great. But the story on this one is very good too. The one thing I am not a fan of. You really should watch Wanda Vision show before seeing this. But if you have, it is a great watch with a compelling story. I have not watch any trailer before, so I can not say what was shown. But there are a few cameo that I was very happy to see, an evil dead joke that made me laugh a little too much and a lot of comics nods for the people that use to read them.

All in all, it is one of the good one.

Going to make this short and sweet.

Probably one of the best "horror" comedy ever made. A must watch. The story is great and a wonderful flip on horror tropes. The acting is on point. The setting, horror and comedy is perfect. Nothing bad to say about it.

Again, a must watch!

Let me start by saying that I am not a fan of the games before RE7. So I am going at this from the movie aspect and not the faithfulness to the games.

1st. The cast/acting. Not a fan. They are way too "one note" There is nothing appealing about any of them. Claire is one minded with 0 emotion. She has one emotional part that is not believable.. Chris is has no emotion either and very forgettable. Leon is a douf that falls asleep all the time and act like an idiot. Jill is inconsistent and not to smart. Wesker has some times of good acting but its dwarfed by everything bad around. And lastly but not least. The zombies look terrible. Some of them, have masks that are not convincing and the liker is a full digital mess.

2nd. The horror? I saw nothing I could call horror in this. Yes a little gore here and there but no suspense and you see everything coming a mile away.

3rd. The final "boss". He is faithful to the game at first in look but really? He transform and it's over. Then it's a bunch of boring none sense.

Lastly. Interest. I had to rewatch the end because I was not paying attention the 1st time. There is nothing that grabbed my attention in this movie.

The 1st resident evil movie was much better than this and that is saying a lot. Don't waste your time on this one.

The 1st Matrix was good. Very good. Then 2 and 3 was barely watchable. Now, I gave this one a shot, hoping to see something good. But what was the point?

Let's start with the good. Some of the shots where good. Some of the ideas where good but they last for just one thing. It was well shot and most of the effects where good.

Now for the bad. Since I will not spoil, let's just say that there is a lot of "flash back" done in a terrible way. The 1st 30 min of the movie, is painful to watch. Lots of weird decision. And the story is terrible. The acting is passable but not the best. And some of the action fighting is either messy or boring. And one on one combat is laughable. Look at the Matrix trilogy or John Wick. How did they go from there to this.

If you are a die hard fan, don't watch it. If, like me, just liked it. Watch it with very low expectation and you might have some enjoyment here and there.

Does this beat saw 1? No. But it's an actual story with some torture and gore. But it's not torture porn. It has flaws. Big ones. But I see potential for a much better sequel. I think this is a good start. Or at the very least, better than 3 to what ever how many there was. Hope this is going to either have a sequel that fallows this or better yet, a sequel with its own story that is a different copycat that has a better twist. To be honest, 30 min in, I had the twist and the plot figured out. But I still enjoyed an acyual story so please keep going that way.

Not a bad movie. Not great either. Mindless action fun. What I love about it is how all the people where talking about this and where outraged before ever seeing. It. No one comes out looking good in this movie. Worth the watch if you are not an extremist on either side lol.

This was a fun movie and it is also nice to have a movie being less than an hour and a half while giving you a full story.

Acting was good, the setting was great, the filming was great and the story was great. So why is it that the movie is not great? To me anyways. The story conflicts with itself. Since I don't spoil on my review, this will only make sense after watching the movie. It is still worth the watch.

My big problem with this movie is the morality. It keeps changing and shifting. Happy ending or not, once you fallow a path, you can change it many time to surprise your audience. But it needs to be done well and makes us care.

I would say that the first 2/3 was very good but then after a few switch, I just lost interest.

Lastly. The ending was such a miss. I have 3 different ending that would of had a great impact. 2 of them would be the same undertone of the actual ending with more substance.

The movie is about a wounded Union soldier found by an opposition little girl. She takes him back to the school were she live with 2 little girls, a teenage girl a young women and an older women. The first hour of the movie is about what the right thing to do with him and then it shifts drastically for the last 30 min.

The acting is good with the exception of one little part. It is a little dark at night but the cinematography was good. It is a low budget film with big actors.

All in all, it is a decent little film but nothing incredible. The thing I would of done to improve it would be to crank it up a few notch or to dial it down a little. Right now it is in the middle and it makes the last 30 min a little weird.

If you are religious at all, don't watch it and don't make a fuss over the fact that others don't believe in your faith. Move on and live your life, stop trying to impose it on others.

Now that this is out of the way. The movie is hit and miss for me. A lot of the comedy that didn't get me is because nuns are doing or saying it. To me, personally, nuns are a joke by themselves so having them do human things is not funny. There is were the problem with the movie his. If you are religious you will be offended and if you are not you probably won't care. To make it simple. If you think that a nun swearing is funny than you will love it. If not than probably you will be board.

The story is basically 3 nuns exploring sexuality in there own way. One mild, one confuse and one to the extreme. The only thing I actually liked about the movie was Aubrey Plaza but I always like her weird way witch I suspect is not acting at this point but just the kind of person she is.

All in all, not a terrible movie per say but will be good only to a selected few. I would not recommend but I would also not discourage someone from watching it.

Lets start with the basic. Cinematography was great, visuals, acting, story was great. The only problem I have with the movie is that when you see apes in great number, some of them look like the cgi was not finished and they stood out to me.

I was expecting a us vs them kind of story and was pleasantly surprised that it was much more nuanced than that. I will not spoil the story so all I can say is that it had my attention from start to finish.

There is also a genius move that the writer did. The inclusion of Nova as a kid. I usually hate kids in movies but she was perfect. She humanized the ape so much. Also the "comic relive" character was done in a way that at no point it gets on your nerves.

This is a must watch and if you have not seen the first 2 than what are you doing here. Take a week end night and make it a marathon.

Really please stop making these movies. The special affects are incredible. But the rest is just boring, predictable and annoying. I would like to point out that since the 1st movie, you have a plot point that negates the previous movie. Every movie is X the reason they are here. Meaning that the X from the previous movie was not the reason they were there.

I would love to give the movie a 1 but if I am being objective, the acting was good, the effects were good but that's it. There is so much of the movie you could cut out and it would make it a lot better. Get rid of the whole military ark. The story would still suck but it would be shorter and more packed with the autobots, witch is the only thing that is interesting. Also, if you want to put romance, expand on it. If not then just drop it because doing it half way is just cringy.

All in all, do not spend money watching this movie. Vote with your dollars so that the talent of the people working on this movie can be use for better movies. Or at the very least show that we need a better writer for the franchise but my guess is that it has been ran into the ground and nothing could save it anyway. So for me, I will not watch any more of them.

Is this a master piece of comedy? No. But it was a fun little movie that had me smiling all the way through. Now there are plot holes and the kids acting is very hit or miss but if you don't take it seriously, like it's meant to be, then you will have a good time.

It is the weakest of the short number of films he has made but it is hard to top Tuck & Dale vs evil and Zombieland. I am going to keep an eye for his next works because, so far, I always have a good time watching his movie.

Now shut your brains out, get some snacks and enjoy a little ridiculousness that makes fun of all the horror tropes out there.

It as been a wile since a thriller has keep me on the edge like this one. It was incredibly well done.

The story is very simple. 3 young adult are robbing the neighborhood. One is a dick, his girlfriend who needs the money to get out from under her terrible home life and a 3rd guy who is in love with her and his father works on installing security system in houses. They find out that a blind guy has a lot of money in his house and decide to rob him and then flee the state. They just don't know that he his unhinged and dangerous.

There is no scare factor in this movie. But from the moment the action start, it never lets go and keeps you on the edge. The only thing I have against it is a scene around the end were the blind guy explain something. The explanation is disturbing but fine. The action, on the other end, I believe the movie could of done without it.

The acting was great, the effects were good and the filming was very claustrophobic witch works for this kind of movie.

All in all great and very much worth a watch if you like thrillers.

Alright. This is not a bad movie in any way. Just not really for me. The acting was good, the story was simple and well paced. It just made me cringe for the most part.

The movie starts like all other movies like this do. In college, Yeah we will stay together for ever! Then 10 years later, they all have different lives but one friend is holding on to the "glory days" way too tight. Then the left turn is when they kill the stripper and all the way they make it worst. I got to say, if the movie was with a bunch of teenagers I would understand a little more but a group over 30 should really know better. I think that was what really got to me.

I did have a few laugh but other than that I guess Zoë Kravitz and Scarlette Johansson were nice to look at. Again, not a bad movie just really not for me.

This will be hard to explain. First of all. If you are that guy or girl who hates remake, stop watching them and reviewing them. If you can't separate the 2 movies then why are you even wasting your time.

OK. Now to explain how, in my opinion, this movie is better and worst than the original.

On the plus side, the movie looks better and is easier to fallow. I am french but the original have the actor mumbling so much it is hard to fallow. The first half of the movie is very much the same as the original. They give a little more of Anna and Lucy as kids becoming friends witch, to me, was not better or worst from the original. Some key moments are almost shot by shot. The second half of the movie, on the other hand, has the same premise and reason but taken from a very different way of doing it. It is less gory and much less brutal. I like it. The original was good but at some point it becomes just pointless torture that could be abbreviated.

On the down side, the director played it a little too safe. To start with the kids. The first shot in the original, the little girl Lucy, looks like she was torture. On the remake, she only has a bruise on her cheek. If a kid is torture then you need to show it to make us feel bad. The ending is also played safe. To start, if you switch it from Anna to Lucy then give a reason why they didn't come back for Lucy at any point in the last 10 years. I like the fact that they took the face punching out of this one but they should of finished the same way or closer to the original.

If you have not seen the original then you will like this. If not, I can see it going both way. I like it better but would improve by using a few more things from the original. I guess if you like films that are more nihilistic than the original is better.

Both worth to watch. I would recommend the remake as much as the original.

Lets start by saying, this is pretty much the best movie I have seen this year. The story is great, easy to get into it and unsettling.

Starting with the basic. The acting was top notch. The girl kind of fall flat at the end but other than that, great all around. Main and support and even the one liner are very good.

The setting and the camera work was great yet again. Only one thing that to me made no sense but it is minor. The rest was perfect in my opinion.

The story was fun for everyone. If you are a black person, you will see an "exaggerated" version of things that might happen. If you are not, the movie does a great job in putting you in his shoes. Back to the story, t starts slow but not boring and ramps up fast. It keeps you guessing. To be honest, I was expecting something very different as a plot twist but the way they went works. I found one hole in the story I can't explain but I am guessing it is explain in the extended or deleted scenes. There is no jump scare, no cheap gimmick, only a good story that keeps you in suspense.

I don't know how to explain it with no spoiler but YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS! If horror is not your type of movie, this is still a great movie for you. It is more of a thriller movie with a horror story.

Worth it!

The critics are really harsh on this one. From everything I heard about this movie I was expecting a truly terrible film. It is not a master piece but to say it is terrible or even bad is just plain lying.

The story is OK and engaging. The acting is good for the most part. The key to this movie has to be the imagery. It is a little over the top but still gorgeous.

Well worth the watch. I don't believe I would re watch it but I did enjoy it. It is an action/fantasy fast food movie. Good and light but not a movie to watch everyday.
