6 Souls (2010)
The way a Stephen King movie should be, even though it isn't
I have never gave a 10 star review. I am a real big fan of Stephen King & his movies, but, this is how one of his movies should be told! The first 5 or so minutes is slow, that is it! The rest of the movie will keep you guessing non-stop! It is constantly changing, you can never figure out who or what this person is until the very end, and then, it still is not clear! The very best suspense thriller that I have seen in years! I do not see why it only has an 6. Even the acting out of the "no name" actors in this movie were excellent. I have nothing at all bad to say about this movie, if you like suspense, horror, thriller, with a little bit of drama, & are a fan of anything Stephen King, this is for you! Thanks for reading & I hope it helps you pick a great movie!
Santa Claus: The Movie (1985)
A Must See For Any Christmas Movie Fan!
I have to say that this is one of the all time greats when it comes to Christmas movies. I know everyone loves the comedy of other Christmas movies like the Tim Allen movies & all, but , it you want to enjoy something about the true meaning of Christmas, this is for you! I have loved this movie since I was a kid & I'm 31 now. It tells the story of a man who delivers toys for children hundreds of years ago & on a night he can no longer make it, the elves save him & he eventually becomes known as Santa Claus. Dudley Moore does a great performance as Patch & the movie even has a villain, John Lithgow. A lot of children will enjoy this even though Christmas has become so cartoonish & commercialized, it brings you back to when you were a kid & toy's were simple & the holiday spirit was there! Something thats hard to find these days. I highly recommend this movie as a family movie or if your just by yourself & want to get into the holiday spirit!
Hardwired (2009)
border-line decent but turns "video gamish"
I just finished watching this movie. If you like sci-fi, you might enjoy this if you have nothing else to watch. The story line is OK, it could happen I suppose. The plot has been done so many times though. The acting is not there, even though it has some decent actors in it. Seems Cuba didn't even want to play the role, shows really no passion in the movie. The action failed real bad. After around 15 minutes or so, it turns video-gamish. The ending is left for a sequel in-which I have no clue as to why. Also, why did I give it a 5? It has it's moments & could have been a decent movie. If your a die-hard sci-fi fan, you might just like it. I try to be fair when judging all movies, because what I don't like others will & vice-versa.
For Sale by Owner (2009)
very nice suspense historical thriller
To be honest, this was a weird movie. It didn't have all the "hollywood" added to it. I was very interested within the first 15 minutes which is highly unusual for me. It tells the story of a man that restores homes from Virginia. At the start you will think his is having a panic attack but you will see that he suffers from skitzophrenia. The movie plays into the role perfect & if you have ever met someone like that (I am), it's truly wonderful how they had the "mind set" perfect. It also has a lot about history in Virginia & one of the oldest mysteries surrounding the United States. I don't want to spoil it for you, but if you want to venture off into a movie with lots of twists & a decent story line, this is for you. You will have to pay attention or maybe watch it twice. The first time is like, WOW, then the second you can see more clearly what is going on. Im surprised this movie doesn't have many ratings or views. Probably because its not "Hollywoodified".
