Nixon by Nixon: In His Own Words (2014)
Description may be deceiving..
Nixon in his own words. Maybe I was just excited that I thought I had found a documentary that wasn't just another Nixon hater special.. I was wrong. I'm not saying that the film is false info.. It's just that the tapes get old. Anytime he says something inappropriate, it's after something horrible had just happened. Nobody wants every conversation they've ever had, played for the entire world to hear.
This documentary is all Oval Office conversations.
The Challenger Disaster (2019)
A disgrace to US history
The Challenger story is an sad but important part of our history. I would have given it a 5/10, but the acting was about as bad as it gets.. Hanson and Cain were fine, but they couldn't make up for the rest. It reminded me of a cheap horror movie with a $750 budget. I think they should try again with a bigger budget to accommodate better actors. Maybe the foundation of that criminal Ronald Reagan could fund it.
The Roosevelts: An Intimate History (2014)
Even David M. makes mistakes
Teddy had his faults. Many faults. Don't get me started. However.. FDR was Regan without nuclear weapons. The only Roosevelt that to this day is causing pain. After all, I'd rather live a life of depression, than to sell my soul to the filth of humanity. Say hello to Prescott, Henry and Adolph for me. If your family has any money left, send it to the surviving Pearl Harbor families.
Nixon's Coming (2015)
Worth the 7 minutes!
It's not always easy to find published works about Nixon events outside of the Watergate shadow (the good). This is a one in a million experience this Kent State/Vietnam "protester" had, as well as a one in a million act by a president. Since the beginning, U.S. Americans have been fed exactly what press secretaries and the media choose to dish out. Behind closed doors, executive administrations make all sorts of daily decisions in the best interest of themselves or others whom we probably never knew had anything to do with the given situation. In May of 1970, Richard Nixon directed his driver to take him to the Lincoln Memorial in the middle of a protest/demonstration. This was unplanned and as the film states, a very scary situation for the secret service. Nixon walked into the crowd and addressed the demonstrators. I can't see any reason a president would put himself in a situation such as this if his executive decisions weren't made in the best interest of the American people.
Spring 1941 (2007)
Very strong message
I have seen many World War II documentaries and movies. Even more on the German caused Holocaust. Although this isn't focused on concentration camps like most of them are, this for some reason depicted the Jewish pain better than most.
Hereditary (2018)
Keeps you watching
Story line is pretty cool. I was waiting for the status quo jumpy parts, which are usually the extent of horror movies these days... This was better. I have to say that I feel that someone either ran out of money or imagination for the last 10 mins.. Unless a part 2 is in the works. 7/10
