Leila (2019)
Superb writing, direction, and acting
A must watch drama with very good story line and tight direction.
Gulaab Gang (2014)
The Queen of Indian Celluloid Strikes Back and How ! Madhuri Dixit is a Gift to Cinema and Our Society
Once in a while we get too see a movie where you see female leads dominating the proceedings. But Gulaab Gang is the only movie where one woman - Rajjo, does everything from acting to singing to dancing to fighting...and it is our greatest actress Madhuri Dixit who portrays this role to the T.
She stands for good, fights for good and succeeds in being good - it is a classic tale of good vs. bad and one more reminder to all of us that we should always tread on the righteous path.
That is the message conveyed by the director and Madhuri proves it once again that there is no other actor that can portray this character with such poise and elegance.
Make no mistake, even the supporting cast has done a good job. Dialogues are riveting, action scenes superb and the background score packs the needed punch.
Go celebrate this women's day with this noble piece of cinema - Indians need more such cinema once every decade.
And let us honor Madhuri Dixit Nene with the utmost recognition for showing the guts to play this role...Pure Respect to you Madhuri ... Keep Rocking !
Dhoom:3 (2013)
Criminal to Watch this Movie..Total Waste of Time and Money and a Disaster
Dhoom 3 is a ridiculously stupid movie with no story and worthwhile performances. It insults audience's intelligence.
Everything from the actors and script to direction is completely idiotic. If the movie makers have any shame they should refund the ticket money to the audience and pay damages for the pain they inflicted upon the viewers.
The lead actor and actress looks like apes who escaped out of a zoo hanging all the time and sometimes stripping to make some money. The sidekicks are like buffoons and totally worthless lunatics.
The writer and director should be charged with causing mental trauma to the audience...simply put, this movie will be remembered as one of the gigantic flops in Indian history and a case study of how not to make a movie.
A fraud of unimaginable proportions !
Dedh Ishqiya (2014)
A Rare Gem of Art - Kudos to Writer and Director. And a Big Salute to the One and Only Madhuri Dixit.
Desh Ishqiya will be remembered in the annuls of history for its rich cinematic experience and the pure joy it provides to the audience. The mood, the atmosphere, and the ambiance created and showed in this movie is out of this world - one which takes its audience down the memory lane of Nawabs and Begums. And of course, the punch in the end - the real story and motive knocks everybody down. BRILLIANT !
And the credit for all this goes entirely to the writer and director duo for coming up with such a path-breaking and marvelous piece of art.
Nobody and I mean absolutely nobody in World cinema can portray the character of Begum Para Mirzada with perfection other than Madhuri Dixit. For once, the audience will never realize that she is this huge star Madhuri Dixt; all you can see and remember is Begum Para. Now that's what acting and performance is all about. What a pity, cinema never did justice to Madhuri Dixit's immense and once-in-a-century kind of talent. Nonetheless, writers and directors still have time to write scripts and tell stories that will capture her brilliance.
I bet this movie will be remembered for decades for its storytelling, attempt to recreate the world of nawabs and begums, and of course the great Madhuri Dixit - India's best actor !
