Well, at least the M-16 and AK-47 were historically correct...

Delta Force meets Police Academy. I haven't seen anything this bad since Top Gun. I won't elaborate, but the Delta Force units don't work that way and were clothing like that. Matter of fact you wouldn't even know a Delta Force member if you saw him. They are not Rambo types, but men that are highly trained and their major asset to the Delta Force's are that they can think on their feet. No frontal assaults or lone wolf types. They work as a team and if all goes well, you won't even know that they were there, until you notice that you have been burned.

The film was a joke and a dishonor to the men that actually died in the crap they tried to depict in the 80's.

I relate to this movie totally
1 August 2005
When this movie was in theaters, I took my older two children at the time, My son was 11 and my daughter was 7. At home I had a brand new set of twins that were little over one year old, a boy and a girl. My older two children got good grades on their report cards and they earned a day at the movies, big lunch and an unrestricted time at a video arcade. They had a blast and when we all saw the movie, it touched me all the way to the core. I am 6'4" and 250lbs and when Tom Selleck was running through the house looking for little Mary after those drug dealer trashed his place sent my stomach up to my throat. A few tear ran down my face and from that point on till today, this movie is one of my favorites of all time. Maybe its because I am a father that takes raising my kids seriously. Or its seeing three bumbling guys trying to take care of one baby and I have always taken care of my all 4 of my children, a lot of times on my own. What ever the reason is, I don't know, but the original nature of this film makes it a real hit in my book. I watched it again just last night on cable and again it touched me like it was the first time. It just brings me back to the time when my grown children were babies, especially when all of them are grown now. Again its in my top ten!

This movie touch me in a way only a veteran could feel
20 July 2005
When I saw this movie for the first time it seemed like Deja vu. the first part of the movie was like I was reliving a part of my life when I was aboard the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Saratoga (CV-60) in 1985. The ship in the movie was the U.S.S. Independence (CV-62) and it's the same ship in design as the Saratoga. When I was on that ship a pilot died suddenly when his A-7 exploded on approach and it was caused by a bomb arming and exploding on its own. We had an memorial service at the same place on the ship and it really blew my mind. From then on I have admired that movie and have watched it several times. To this day I get really choked up. Hey, it's not as well made as the Godfather but it isn't a bad movie either. But I feel it deserves better then a 5.3. Hey veterans out there, start voting.
