The Killer (2023)
Not worth the time
In general, I really like these kind of movies, but not this one. "The Killer" is like a mix of Hitman, John Wick and about a lone wolf that is acting as mix of hitman and Vantage Point, but the mix is not working at all.
The start is super slow, which is not really an issue but there's no pace at all in the entire movie. The story is just scratching on the surface and is not really connected. There's no opportunity to form any connection with any of the characters. There's only one action scene and of course super unrealistic and it took too long... almost boring.
So to sum it up, it's a boring movie that is definitely not worth investing the time.
The Puppet Master: Hunting the Ultimate Conman (2022)
How to exploit "smart" people
Wow... just a big surprise how easy some people can be tricked into a completely crazy play. I don't want to be rude to the victims as they had lost enough already but man... how can you believe such a story and don't get to the police to make a simple double check. These people were just waiting to be exploited by someone who can give them hope or any meaning in live, pretty bad that they seem to have such a bad family background or education standard to realize what other people are possible to do just for profit.
The simple documentary is a little too long and is leaving out some interesting facts from previous reports and docs about this topic.
Pepsi, Where's My Jet? (2022)
Nice story but too long!
I just watched it and I quite liked it but the fact that a very thin story is extended to 4 episodes resulted in a bad viewer experience for me. I think it would have been enough to just watch the last episode and I would know the core of the story and also the ending of it.
The series did a great job to transport the intentions of the involved people in the plot and I'm sure everyone can easily pick a side based on the character portraits.
Apart from that I would really like to see more of these types of documentaries, I'm sure there're some crazy stories ready be transformed into a documentary or movie but hopefully without extending it with meaningless content or dialogues.
