To Tulsa and Back: On Tour with J.J. Cale (2005)
A must have for people who like JJ Cale or Clapton style of music
When I went to the store and saw this DVD I knew it wouldn't leave my hands anymore. And I must say it's really a great DVD. It's not a rental DVD over here so people will only have the chance to buy it. It's a docu of a great man with LOTS of music. It's a DVD all big stars should have because the man stays with both feet firmly on the ground. It also shows what a great guitar player and performer the man is, so beginning artist or even advanced ones should take a look at this DVD too. The feeling I had after seeing this DVD was that the MAN himself is the style, his music is not a style but a lifestyle. I thought he was great, but he's far greater than I thought. A great opportunity for people like me out of Belgium who will never see the man live to see a man in action where all those other great ones got the juice from. It's worth every penny(Euro) I paid for it.
Dot.Kill (2005)
Not a bad movie, give it a go
One movie, different names... Dot.kill, Digital Reaper, Digital Killer here..... pfff seen that before, probably a bad B-movie... Well I was surprised, in a good way. Assante produced this one and I must say, it's not bad at all. I'm not a real fan of Assante, but he does a good job. You can look at it in different ways, finding the bad guy came for me in second place, Assante's struggle was for me more interesting. A movie with 2 stories, if you want to see a good b-movie with a human story to tell watch it. I wasn't bored during the movie and that says something. I've seen better movies but there are a lot worse than this one.
Dogville (2003)
just theater, not a movie
Don't bye or rent this if you expect to see a movie, it's plain theater. The acting is good, but if I want to see a performance like that I'll go to a theater. So 1 point from my because it is NOT a movie. People who like theater will rate it higher, but it's a real disappointment for people who expect to see a real movie. I don't like a movie where people are opening and closing invisible doors. Walls that are not there. My theater around the corner has more props than the ones used in this ..... (no not movie). Well it is the last time I take a IMDb score as reference, because i don't think this thing deserves a rating so high in a movie database but more in a stage review site.
