Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled (2002)
Big Disappointment
When i rented the first Wishmaster when it arrived here in Sweden in '97, i thought it was a masterpiece and a new horror character was born: Andrew Divoff as The Djinn. around 2 years later i saw (at the same store) Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies and i thought YES and it starred Divoff again. but it was a bit disappointing - it wasn't as good as the first movie (how many sequels are?..) but Divoff was brilliant as always but the script was a little boring and it was almost the same story as the first one. about 2 years later i heard about a third one and i thought wow - it's gonna to be a trilogy..! and i hoped Divoff returned as the Djinn..but no, Divoff was replaced by John Novak and the third movie was not as bad as i thought it would be, Jason Connery (Sean Connery's son) saved the movie but Novak wasn't so bad at all either. then i heard about a fourth movie (was it going to be a big series ??) and i couldn't wait but sadly it never came to Sweden for rental so i purchased the UK release of the DVD and last summer i watched it and it was a big big disappointment...well the script was really bad (why name a movie the prophecy fulfilled when it wasn't ??..stupid) the biggest disappointment were that Divoff didn't return for this one either (maybe a great choice 'cause the script sucked). i hope Chris Angel won't be directing more Wishmaster, because he have nearly destroyed the Wishmaster series - the third was OK but no more, the fourth was awful really awful. Well if their is ever gonna be fifth movie bring back Divoff or do a "Wishmaster VS Wishmaster" (Divoff VS Novak). don't make the mistake i did - to buy this DVD.

L'ultimo squalo (1981)
Cult Classic
I was surprised when i watched this movie, it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be in fact it was quite good. well it's quite a Jaws Rip off but hey - it's a lot better than some other shark movies for instance - "Tintorera" which was a complete waste of time. i was also surprised when i read that it was released as Jaws 3 in some countries when it hit the theaters, well it is better than Jaws pt 3 and 4. one thing that i like with this movie (spoiler warning) is the ending - right about after the sharks death - when they all get safety on land just before the end text is coming and the sad music is appears - it reflects sorrow, evil and even madness, and the survivors gets into the car - it is a great scene probably the best in the entire movie (according to me). the movie also contains crappy and dumb scenes, but hey - doesn't every classic cult flicks do ?. the shark looks part of better than in the Jaws (a little but not much). it has a great opening too (spoiler warning) - a guy vanished on his windsurfing board, a little bit rip from Jaws 2. the movie is a very like Jaws in someways - there is a guy who looks just like Robert Shaw and same job. well i like the movie, it is my favorite "Cult Classic" - if you should see a better shark movie that Jaws 4 - see The Last Shark. can't wait for it to get an official release, i only know that there is an bootleg but with Japanese text on it. another info (just for fun): it was released in Sweden as "JätteHajen - Vindsurfarnas Skräck".
7/10.
¡Tintorera! (1977)
a soft porn flick more than a horror flick
well well well. i've got the brand new DVD release of this flick last Christmas, i've where thrilled to see that there was a giant white shark on the cover but in the movie it is a small tiger shark...duh. when i started to watch it looked kinda interesting but later on...uh, this is the most boring shark flick ever!. it contains 2 hour of 2 guys hitting of girls, and maybe 3-4 shots of the shark attacks. it was a huge disappointment - this is a warning: if you love shark movies don't watch this one it is more like a soft porn flick more than a horror flick - take on better films like Jaws or even the cult classic The Last Shark. i don't recommend this one. stay away !! 1/10
