A nice movie that may be a bit too much criticized
11 April 2014
I went to the movie with no idea what I was about to see. Genuinely had no idea about the plot and had no expectations at all.

Given the above I loved it. While it was entertaining and had that specific British humor which I find nice, it also had some powerful moments.

At the end it made me think about the kind of problems people face in their lives without making me sad like most of the movies that cover similar topics. I'm glad I went to it. Well spent money.

I would advice the audience to just see it like I did - without even checking the plot and the actors. Not knowing what it's all about made the experience a bit better in my opinion.

An entertaining movie that could have been a lot better

Warning: Spoilers
Overall I liked the movie. It's always good to see a Bulgarian movie that provokes your interest and manages to keep you entertained during the whole ~100 minutes.

There were however too many plot holes even for a comedy. The audience is expected to believe that a young man who doesn't remember anything from the last 13 years shows no interest to the surrounding world at all? I also found the story about Krisi and her father just too much... It all seemed a bit forced, out of place and with no meaning to the whole movie. OK, she did meet her father but what happens after that? What happened with the hotel, her brother... And these are just some of the many things that you cannot fail to notice.

I also didn't quite like the aggressive advertising in the movie. Sure, sponsors should be given credit but I could have had a bit less of that particular bank through the movie.

The script was also predictable and kind of clear from the start. All those young people having lost their way in life starting to follow their dreams again after remembering their childhood and teen years, is just a cliché.

On the other hand despite all of the above I loved the movie. It was genuinely fun and entertaining while still provoking people that are reaching or have reached the age of 30 to just give stop for a second and think about their own life.

I give it a 6/10 but maybe I'm a bit too harsh. If you are a Bulgarian, you are going to love it. If you aren't, you may still enjoy it.
