Do you like a movie with real people acting real silly than this is the movie for you! The plot is ridiculous in a good way and there is origional music. The costumes are to die for! The kungfu is well done! Enjoyable!

The tale of a failed marriage. dysfunctional family and drug use are what greeted me on this already depressing winters day in Australia. This could have been an Aussie movie with it's deadpan lead actress (Monroe), deadbeat Dad, OTT Mum and drug stuffed brother. Overall a bit too realistic for my taste but I like the sea and there was plenty of that!

This movie is almost a documentary on growing up. Ronan excels as a teenager stuck in a small town with normal teenage problems. I love the dynamic between her and Metcalf. As a mother myself I can totally feel the mothers pain of having to let go of her blossoming daughter. Great movie and should win a few Oscars I expect!

I thought I was going to get a bit of a Rom-Com with this movie so imagine my surprise when the Fantasy bit (that I missed in the synopsis) kicked in! Than goodness for Bill Nighy and his beautiful voice, without it the movie would be incomplete. And the soundtrack was great. Otherwise I guess if you want to see Rachel McAdams dont watch it cause its like shes phoning it in. Domnhall is pretty good because he plays average so well.
