Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)
What the hell was this
Half the theatre left in 30 minutes. The whole plot is hilarious. I mean, every episode appears to be more ridiculous than the previous one but this one is far of the others. Was Bay on drugs when he did this? Even children don't want to watch it anymore and its getting worse and worse. When as a child, I used to collect pics of these robots and liked the cartoon, but Bay in his intoxication has created the pinacle of the super idiotic movie with this part...

Horrific in all means
I was amazed to see reviews with top ratings. This movie will be watched by someone who likes history and knows something about the Battle(s) of Vienna and etc. Well, let's start: - it is insanely inaccurate when we speak of uniforms, only the Austrian musketeers and the Janissaries had proper uniforms but the second were armed with sabres only... - but the previous was nothing - it is insanely inaccurate when it comes to the real events. Indeed, it has little to do with them, even Hollywood would make it more accurate. - the whole plot is based around a monk and the main event - the battle - goes like they didn't want to do it at all but decided the movie was too short and went on adding it - the battle is inaccurate, not even close to what actually happened (besides the breach of the wall but it was not caused by a mine) - 95% computer explosions that were made on the first generation Celeron, as it seems. Not ugly, but dreadfully bad. Muskets were even worse. - sound from guns and muskets was probably generated by firing an AK-47 and then multiplying it - the movie is groundbreaking in revealing that Austrians actually invented the first recoilles gun with the exception of the Polish artillery which had recoil absorber - no one had a pistol in the whole movie - Austrians had a total of 18 men infantry and some cavalry which run away - how did the monk and Reiter escort get into the city when it was besieged - battle was hilarious
I think this movie deserves -6 but can't select it so gave it 1.
War & Peace (2016)
Absolutely fascinating!
OK, let me start with this - I have read the book twice and it is my favourite novel of all times. Its stunning realism is what has always made me think it would be impossible to make a movie out of it. I have seen previous adaptation, stopping some on the first episode. So, what do I think about this one? I find this one the first successful attempt for a series based on the book. It is excellent and one of the reasons I think is because it follows the book so close that even many dialogues are as in the book. Besides, it is well executed from historical perspective, correct uniforms and so on. What struck me the most was the play - actors are all top notch, absolutely excellent. So why I gave it 8 stars and not 10? Well, there should always be some space for improvement and 10 stars I believe would go for something that can transform the book, which after seeing these series - I do not see so impossible. There were a few inaccuracies, however and I think they should have invested in more episodes and not make it that compressed. The beauty of the book was the constant changes of state from absolutely daily business with not that much fancy stuff happening to shocking developments - I believe one of the reasons that made the book so transparent and lifelike.
