Willy's Wonderland (2021)
FNAF meets Nic Cage
This was 100% created because someone was either a fan of the Five Nights at Freddy's game, or the popularity and money that came with it.
Saying it isn't at least inspired by FNAF is a lie as there is much more than just inspiration here. More than killer animatronics in kids pizzeria, but the spirits inhabiting the animatronics (from a different angle), the voiceless protagonist trying to take them down, and the name change to "Willy's Wonderland" from "Wally's Wonderland".
This is a FNAFan writing a movie, and even if they don't want to admit to it, it's cool.
To be honest I didn't go in to this movie expecting much, but I ended up enjoying it. The comedic cutting in some scenes was spectacular, and you get a true Nic Cage experience.
Don't go in expecting a serious plot, or anything other than what a Nic Cage movie promises. It is what it is and if you go in expecting anything great you will be disappointed, but it is a fun "slasher" ish movie.
Dragon's Dogma (2020)
A show that didn't know what it wanted to be.
Between the style changes (between 2D and 3D animation) throughout the series and the bad monster 3D models, it's hard to believe Capcom green light this for even the seven episodes it had.
This is a fan fiction at its worst.
Just play the game, it has a plot.
Terrifier (2016)
Cliche, the Movie.
This movie is a slog to get through after the first 10 minutes.
It tries so hard to be an old school slasher flick, but misses all the charm that those movies had. I ended up watching it over the course of two days, because after 45 minutes it had felt like I had been sitting there for 90. When Netflix told me there was still another 45 or so to go I just NOPED and shut it off. (I did finish it the following day).
It is very rough, with the only writing being cliches to the point you can literally count down to "and this is going to happen in three... two... one..." and be correct. The acting for the most part is dreadful, leaving really no one to root for by the end.
Characters make dumb decisions, and die painfully. Some of the kills are quite original, and the gore is really well done for the indie budget film this is.
The only upside to the flick is David Howard Thornton's portrayal of Art the Clown- who will terrify with his facial expressions, movements and presence. However even that does save the movie.
