Pass the Comb (2013)
A fairly good short film and how to go about resolving difficult and delicate issues
While this one wasn't as good as The Family Matters, as I find films that involve the whole identity of being street quite over glamorized and too overdone.
For what this was it was a good short film and a good way to finding a different solution on how to deal with such a delicate situation which could have ended badly instead is resolved in a civil manner.
While the film was good it's showcased by a brilliant credit song called 'Talk To Me, Brother' by Eve-Yasmine Saoud-Easton whose vocals add an extra effect after viewing.
Very good work to the young people involved and to Zone 180 who made the production possible.
The Family Matters (2011)
Brilliant short film about traditional family values and the transitional change of technology and what really matters
There are very bad short films out there and believe me as someone that watches many short films and organises events for the BFI with Future Film.
This little short was extremely watchable and definitely had that festival material, it had a great theme and a smooth script which flowed, despite having a cliché theme the execution is done really well, especially for a group of young creative up and coming film makers.
While a great script I felt it was left unresolved and would love to see what happens next as the short leaves the resolution open for a great continuation and possibilities for a sequel which I would definitely be interested in watching if it's as good as this.
Highly recommended to watching for all film makers alike.
