This show is so offensive on so many levels. I made an account here specifically to point that out (something I never felt the need to before).
I'm not even going to list the specific quotes, because I would have to provide pretty much the entire transcript of the first episode...
I just don't understand why someone would write something like this and put it on TV? It's a slap in the face for anyone struggling with coming out, or just, you know, being themselves, whether straight, gay, or anything beyond that. Oh, and don't even get me started on the disgusting sexist undertones. Well, undertones would be more subtle. Is this normal for people nowadays? I'm afraid, for many, it might be. Calling women bossy, the wonderful comment about "I don't even like looking at my own vagina", and so on... - What kind of people write for television nowadays? Are you serious?
Anyway, I know, this probably wasn't a very helpful review, sorry about that. I just had to get it out. This show just really ticked me off. And I don't recommend watching it.
Good shows with clever writing and actually talented actors get canceled way too often. Don't give stuff like this the time of day and watch something written by a Mindy Kaling or someone like that instead. She at least has a brain and lives in the current century.
