Play It to the Bone (1999)
Why was this made?
I see on my screen a cast that lends me to think, "Hey I bet this movie will be good. I enjoy all these actors." Alas, I was deceived. The dialog was dull and sounded oh to familiar. Very reminiscent of every late 90's flick. The acted was ridiculous... especially considering who was cast. Then, we come to the big fight at the end... it started out very cool; the actors were well trained for sure. The actors abilities, however, were ruined by the cameraman and/or the director. Cheesiest production ever of a fight scene. The angles and scene cuts looked like something from our local TV. Sad. Way to ruin an amazing and redeeming quality of the movie. Not to mention the fight went on FOREVER. Several times one of them would go down and people in the crowd are yelling "stay down" and you want them too as well, because seriously it is just too long. There are literally 2 main sets for this movie, the car on the road and the fighting ring.
Club Fed (1990)
The credits rocked!
OK, now I usually like bad campy films. I generally find them humorous. For example, the Ice Cream Man is a good "bad" film. It is so bad it is really humorous. Then their is Club Fed.
Now, if, say, Police Academy was too intellectual for you, you might give Clb Fed a try. It really tries to be PA or any one of the old Leslie Nielsen films; however it falls way short. It sucks in a a "Oh gross that kid just puked in the corner of the cafeteria" kind of way.
In conclusion, if you want to watch a stupid movie you will laugh at cause it is just so bad the get the Ice Cream Man and to this movie "just say no!"
Ice Cream Man (1995)
Must find and own it!
My favorite quote: "Do you realize how long it takes to make butter brickle?" (after cops destroy his batch for seemingly no reason.) "Are you sorry you didn't find anything and wrecked my place or are you just sorry you didn't find anything?"
I love this movie. It's the worst made movie I've ever seen. I wish Mystery Science 3000 was still on cause this would be an excellent movie for them. Seriously, this is a must see.
The acting is absolutely horrendous, but they really see, like they are trying, and this makes it that much funnier. The cheesy script simply can't be beat... not even with an ice cream scoop.
