Just watch it yourself (for good reason)
6 May 2022
I personally wouldn't recommend going through the reviews on this one for a simple reason. This is a film that you can tell when watching it would be very divisive. Some really cool direction and horror for Sam Raimi and nice to see a Marvel film where a director has such a big influence. Alongside this some great acting and a very intimidating villain. Was cool to see a more violent and horror based marvel trip but the film isn't without its issues with some scenes that will make you cringe or wish they'd explored things more however, go into it with an open mind and expect to have fun and I believe many will.

Fun but not great
20 August 2021
I found this film to be a mix of films such as Ready Player One, Groundhog Day and The Truman show but not as good as any of these films. The story is a bit bland and apart from the main character some of the others aren't written that well especially the films antangonist who just comes off as cringey.

There's also constant references that are thrown at the audience which become too on the nose at times and the inclusion of well known streamers and you tubers got old quick. However, if you can switch your mind off for the run time there are some good jokes in the film and some fun scenes and it can be a somewhat enjoyable watch despite its flaws.

The Gift that keeps on giving

Two seasons of this show have come out so far and with each episode the show just ups the levels and gets better and better. Fantastic acting throughout especially from Anthony Star as Homelander, one of the best television villains in years in my opinion and the amazing and different take on a super hero world makes for amazing and refreshing viewing. I would even recommend this show to those who aren't into comic book adaptations as I've yet to meet someone who dislikes it! Can't wait to see where the show goes next but after season two upped the quality with new amazing characters and story arks I'm confident it'll only continue to grow.

The theatre in your livingroom

I've been a big fan of the soundtrack for years but have yet to get the chance to experience the show in person. However, this version was brilliantly directed and makes you feel like you're there. Fantastic performances all around and not only worth a watch but numerous rewatches as well.
