My Son (2021)
Wow, you're all serious with these reviews?
This is a masterpiece, it's as simple as that. This move touches on something that NO parent would ever want to go through and it does it brilliantly.
On top of that, I don't think people realIse that James McAvoy had no dialogue to work with. Everything he does in this movie is his own reaction to the story he doesn't know. It's mesmerising.
This is a classic for me and I'm looking forward to watching it again. Genius.
Great White (2021)
Give it a go.
If you're a fan of Shark/survival movies, then you'll enjoy this, 100%. Although it's certainly not a high budget movie, the acting and the suspense is great. You certainly won't waste 90 minutes watching this movie. Ignore the people giving under 5 stars. They might not like the genre.
Host (2020)
Refreshing, eerie and fun.
What a great little horror. Very well made and the duration of just under an hour was perfect. Im not necessarily a big fan of "supernatural horror" but the movie being played out on computer screen made it much more appealing to myself. This is the first horror in a while that put my hairs up. Definitely recommend.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
I mean, what can I say?!
This movie is as good as you would expect. Not quite "classic Tarantino" but in retrospect, just as good. To see a different side to one of America's most infamous murders, justice is done. Not one of the actors disappoint (as you would expect considering the cast) and it's mesmerising. Watch this movie, you'll kick yourself if you don't.
Joker (2019)
WOW WOW WOW!
This is the movie than none of us knew we needed! Embrace this, feel it, live it. Mental health is worse than Cancer, listen to each other and this will be be prevented.
It Chapter Two (2019)
Nope. Nope. Nope.
I got 80 minutes in and made the decision that I didn't have it in me to endure ANOTHER 80 minutes. This movie is incredibly slow and very uninteresting. The first wasn't great but it was a lot better than this one. Really good cast let down by this drab. Not for me.
Head Count (2018)
Some people shouldn't be allowed on this site!
This is a 7/10 movie. I gave it an 8 because it deserves more than it's currently getting. It's a new concept, it's fun and it's interesting. I'm getting a little annoyed with all of these fake reviews. Don't let the rating put you off, you'll really enjoy it if you're a fan of supernatural horror.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019)
Oh, ok.
So good. This movie had such a nostalgic feel to it. Alongside that, it really is a fun ride. Watch this little gem.
In the Tall Grass (2019)
What's the problem here?
Granted, this movie won't be for everyone. Fans of Stephen King (especially readers of his books) should enjoy this. This is a good movie. Complicated at times but if I'm honest, the only people I can see that are giving this movie bad reviews, are the ones who like straight forward, easy thinking movies. IE, people who don't need everything explained to them. I enjoyed it even whilst being out of the loop for short periods.
Bloodline (2018)
Meh.
Ill keep this short and sweet. Although it was great to see Sean William Scott in this role (and to see him do rather well), this film really didn't have enough substance in my opinion. It bored me. Some good "killing" scenes but all in all, not for me.
Venom (2018)
Don't listen to the critics, listen to Venom instead!
This movie has been dragged through the dirt for absolutely no reason at all. Personally, it ranks as one of my favourite movies in the genre. Tom Hardy as Brock is incredible and the storyline is great.
Midsommar (2019)
Woah! What a trip.
This movie completely took me by surprise. The storyline had me hooked from the start and considering the length of the movie, it kept me interested throughout. A little bit of gore in the right places and the use of psychogenic drugs was influential. Great acting all round. Do yourself a favour and invest your time here. Commit to it, concentrate and you won't be disappointed.
Haunt (2019)
Woah! Good work Eli!
Lovely! What a great little movie. Not too much gore but enough for you imagine the sensation. Kept me on my toes, I didn't know who was safe. Very well done, GIVE IT A GO!
Burn (2019)
"The tables have burned"
Listen, this isn't a bad movie. Don't listen to the 1/10 ratings. The acting is good from all involved and you'll find yourself wanting to watch more. My only gripe with this movie is that it feels a little 'all over the place' towards the end. It's almost like they couldn't decide what they wanted to do. Other than that, it's different than most thrillers I've seen and definitely worth a watch.
The Perfection (2018)
Wow
Well done Netflix. This movie is a really fun ride. It's sexy, a little gross and full of twists and turns. Kept me on the edge of my seat and has an ending that doesn't disappoint! Put your feet up and watch this movie.
The Silence (2019)
Could have been a lot better.
I mean, this isn't a bad movie but I just feel that they may have missed a big opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Birdbox. There isn't enough explanation as to just how quiet they need to be and you never really get the feeling of just how much danger they're actually in. Even the so called "intense" scenes aren't really intense. Other than that, the storyline is good, the acting is good and as long as you go in without high expectations, it's a good ride.
We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011)
Oh, hello.
This is a brilliant movie. Within the first 10 minutes, you can kind of guess what's going to happen but, that doesn't end the suspense. This movie is fun, suspenseful, intriguing and fun. The more you watch, the more you want to know. Please stop leaving poor reviews, simply because you can't handle anything other than the ordinary rom com. Stop expecting sunshine and rainbows. WATCH THIS MOVIE!
Rust Creek (2018)
Slow but effective
Don't listen to the bad reviews. If you're a fan of 'I spit on your grave' then watch this movie. It starts fast, slows down in the middle and picks up again towards the end. Great little time killer.
