Carnosaur 3: Primal Species (1996)
Oh Geez I'd rather watch Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom over this piece of Garbage!
Well to start off I haven't seen any of the previous Carnosaur Movies since they are not available in UK so I had thought before I became aware of The other Carnosaur Movies thanks to the Internet this was the only Dinosaur Movie that ripped off Jurassic Park but boy that is quite an understatement ripped off because this Movie is so bad it even makes Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom look like a good Movie. The Special Effects are laughable, The Acting is so bad it looks like it was directed by a 5 Year Old and The Characters are just total idiots I really couldn't care or feel sympathy for anyone of them getting eaten I just forced Myself to watch it due to being a Die Hard Jurassic Park Fan but after a while wanted this nightmare to end and I don't mean nightmare referring to it being a Horror Movie since I can usually handle Horror Movies I'm calling it a nightmare due to how unrealistic the Dinosaurs look epically The T-Rex it's so bad it is particularly laughable but seeing it devour that irritating solider who talked way to much throughout was totally satisfying since he wouldn't shut up throughout 90 per sent of the movie and his wise ass joke on Donkeys near the beginning was not the least bit amusing either. The Actor playing The leader Terrorist is probably the only thing I can give this Movie credit for as he had an interesting resemblance to Albert Wesker from Resident Evil and probably was the only character I was rooting for as he was the best actor in the whole movie a pity this character was short lived after being devoured by the raptors near the beginning of the movie though. Apart from that there is really nothing that this movie does right even Die Hard Jurassic Park Fans should stay clear of this movie at all costs if you it in your local video shop don't even touch it with a 20 inch pole stay away far away at all costs!
Mortal Kombat Trilogy (1996)
Mortal Kombat At It's Best!
Well after the disappoint many people have had with Mortal Kombat 3 that really brought the series down from missing a lot of characters from the previous Mortal Kombat Video Games we now have them all back in Mortal Kombat Trilogy and boy isn't quite a treat that we can even play as the bosses too like Goro, Motaro, Kitaro and Shoa Kahn too!
The levels from previous Mortal Kombat Video Games are there too with there Stage Fatality too (but No Pit Fatality in Pit 2 Level and No Acid Pool Fatality in The Acid Level either due to technical difficulties boo) it definitely feels like a breath of fresh air to relive these levels and characters from previous Mortal Kombat Videos Games all combined into one video game what an absolute treat better yet you can access a cheat code to get a hidden options icon to give you 1 button Fatalities so you don't have to perform Fatalities by pushing buttons in a certain order with this cheat on!
So are there any complaints you might be wondering well sadly yes for a start where is original Sub Zero's Head Rip Off Fatality when I played all He could do was a strong punch that killed his opponent and an uppercut and performing an icicle freeze move to impale his opponent but I was really wanting to see that cool Head Rip off move he could do in Mortal Kombat 1 secondly the video game is ridiculously hard even on easy setting that the AI opponents literary beat you to a pulp giving you very little time to learn your moves let alone perform them on the AI opponents and if you can defeat Shoa Kahn then you pretty much deserve a metal as an official Mortal Kombat Pro cause as if getting pasted all the other AI opponents wasn't challenging enough defeating Shoa Kahn was supremely difficult I gave up regularly even thought I am a true Mortal Kombat Pro myself and thought I had it pretty much learned by heart!
Overall I think this Mortal Kombat is definitely worth buying if you are a Mortal Kombat Fan but you had best be quick as the PlayStation era had pretty much outdated 2D Fighting Video Games and moved onto 3D with Video Games like Tekken and Soul Blade!
Mortal Kombat 4 (1997)
Boy it sure plays a lot like Mortal Kombat 1
I've played all 3 Mortal Kombat Games on The Sega Megadrive at my friends house so when Mortal Kombat Trilogy came out on PlayStation I was pretty overwhelmed I get play all 3 Mortal Kombat Games now on a disc so I kind thought to Myself this must be pretty much Mortal Kombat 4 since it can't get much better then this but after learning there really was an Mortal Kombat 4 coming out a year after Mortal Kombat Trilogy in 1997 I thought wow that's awesome news and better yet it's 3D too so when I eventually bought it 2nd hand at my local Video Game Shop I could hardly wait to play and to my horror it sucked ass and is nowhere near as good as the others!
Why you probably wonder well I will give you 3 reasons why.
1) The 3D effects is pretty much a lie because it is only 3D for offering a sidestep button which allows you to move towards rocks to throw at your opponents or dodge projectiles attacks by your opponents also sometimes the 3D just makes me dizzy and disoriented due to camera changing angels regularly this is usually must noticeable at Liu Kang's Bicycle Kick.
2) The difficulty is really toned down from the other 3 Mortal Kombat Video Games which may sound like a good thing as the other Mortal Kombat Games were really hard to beat epically Mortal Kombat Trilogy however it just feels like a stroll in the park with the expectation of Goro who can be abit challenging sometimes but once you get passed him Shinook is literally a push over who you will have hardly any trouble defeating at all which sucks after they made Shinook look so badass in the cutscenes from killing Raiden, Reptile & Lie Kang in various characters endings so the uninspired difficulty really takes you away from the thrill you probably got from playing Mortal Kombat Trilogy after defeating Shao Kahn and quite likely screaming with constant victory cries.
3) Nothing really original apart from 3D effects the only thing that also makes this Mortal Kombat feel original is the ability to pull out weapons however this can only be done with a special attack move which can be awkward while trying to fight your opponent you will quite likely receive a few hits before pulling your weapon out and even after you pull it out you will quite likely lose it once your opponent attacks you and it is hardly worth picking it up again as you just be attacked constantly and run out of health if you try to retrieve your weapon again.
Overall it may not be the worst Mortal Kombat ever made as Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero & Mortal Kombat: Special Forces are still much worse then Mortal Kombat 4 but as far as Mortal Kombat Fighting Video Games this has to be Midways weakest Mortal Kombat in terms of fighting games and it may be their first but definitely not their best attempt at bringing Mortal Kombat into 3D.
The Spooks of Bottle Bay (1993)
A real nightmare of a show!
Oh my goodness I can't honestly tell you how hard it's been to track down this show all these years and boy was it a total nightmare of a show which ran every Friday Afternoon on CITV from 1993 - 1995 to start off what the heck are the creators thinking that a show about a scary looking green woman and well dressed business man is constantly stocking a shy teenage boy who travels with his pet dog and rides a motorcycle with a seemingly broken exhaust pipe while being protected by ghosts who enjoy playing tricks on the baddies is not really suitable for kids because I have found other disturbing shows like The Trap Door, Button Moon & even Thomas The Tank Engine far less disturbing and watchable then the nightmares this show gave me as a youngster that I was certain these ghosts were real and I would watch my back regularly just to make sure these ghosts wouldn't play tricks on me at school otherwise as an adult I'm very nostalgic about this show and kind of regret being scared of it now as I became quite hooked on it after buying it on a VHS Tape to get a chance to rewatch it unfortunately it doesn't seem likely it will get released on DVD which is a great shame as I think if it's scary content can be overlooked it's really not such a bad show after all but definitely not suitable for very young kids.
Rocky Hollow (1983)
An Underrated Show That Should Be On DVD!
I loved this as a youngster and I'm very lucky to have owned all 3 VHS Tapes that contained all 26 episodes of this show in my VHS Collection when I was 6 years old at least the intro is catchy and the puppets are well made and Peter Sallis was a great narrator and voice actor for the show and feel his voice really suits the characters each episode is 5 minutes long but that short amount of time still makes appreciate the show for all the hard work the creators put into it.
So why not a higher rating you might be wondering well my main gripe with this show is why in the world is this Not on DVD!?
I've had to resort to getting out my old VHS Tape Player along with an Old TV and buy it VHS again just to rewatch this show it shouldn't require that much hassle just to watch a long forgotten classic kids show like this please bring this out on DVD so new generation can get an opportunity to appreciate this long forgotten gem of a kids show.
