Ozark: The Beginning of the End (2022)
Jumped the Shark - Fonzie surfing in his leather jacket
Perhaps, because too much time elapsed between seasons, but I find Season 4 Preposterous. I can't help thinking the cast must, as well. Wendy is the biggest Bitch. ( I never understood the casting of her with Bateman. ) Ruth, does not have one line written for her that does not involve F-Bombs. It's lazy writing.
Whatever, greed keeps many series going long past the point when it was truly good.
Epstein's Shadow: Ghislaine Maxwell (2021)
Billionaires with No Moral Compasses and No Consequences
Raised by a powerful father with incredible wealth and no conscience, Ghislaine learned the privilege of no consequences for the very wealthy. Jeffrey Epstein, was evil and she equally so.
Dr. Death (2021)
Often Redundant
The numerous operations with similar outcomes, as well as the amount of time given to "College Football Days" made this series, slow and repetitious.
Mare of Easttown (2021)
NOT A Philadelphia Accent
Jean Smart is the main attraction. Raised in Scranton, PA and attended college (Temple University) and worked in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia accent is one of the strongest in PA. But, I have no idea where or who speaks like "Mare" in PA. Perhaps, an accomplishment for a Brit. But, "Yo, that ain't Philly." :)
Birthday Girl (2001)
My Kind of Love Story. And, very funny too.
Wow! So Unexpected. This film actually left a smile on my face. Nicole Kidman and Ben Chaplin are a delight.
They range from awkward lovers, to true partners in crime.
Dead Still (2020)
Unlike Any Other Series
DEAD STILL is so solid in every way. Concept, acting, dark comedy - slapstick like here and there. I typically do not "Period Pieces," but it only added to the intrigue. Michael Smiley is incredible. Strong performances by all.
Looking forward to Season 2.
Ozark (2017)
"Darlene" is the Standout of Season 3
"Darlene" played by Lisa Emery delivers a mix of soft and hard, kind and cruel in Season 3. In addition, she adopts an infant and her boyfriend "Wyatt" (Charlie Tahan) is young enough to be her grandson. Watching these two together might just be the "American Dream."
Paper Year (2018)
Imagined Attraction
Fantasy proves stronger than reality. The extreme high and low of lust has consequences. Most obvious in the sex between co workers. What is intended to bring pleasure brought humiliation.
Tramps (2016)
The "True Romance" of Today
Refreshing mix of crime and falling in love. Strong performances and clever plot.
