Excellent second season
8 September 2016
I just finished watching the second season and I can say I am really impressed. The second season has longer plot lines which makes it more interesting. It also gives more chance for character development. We see more different sides from Gigi, Ava and Johnny. The actors do an excellent job on this, especially Elizabeth Gillies as Gigi stands out in both comedy and drama. She is also a very talented singer AND wrote some of the songs on this season's soundtrack. The subplot with Rehab and BamBam is just as funny as their plot line in season 1. Especially John Ales as Rehab is a gem to watch. All in all I think I liked season 2 even more than the first, which I already loved. Can't wait for a third season!

Animal (I) (2014)

Good in its genre
25 June 2014
I always try to judge a movie within its genre, so the reason I rate this movie high is not because it's an Oscar worthy one, but because I think it's a really good one in comparison to other low budget horror movies. The decor and setting are well chosen, a good place that can both be beautiful and scary. The effects and the created 'animal' were also really good done.

The script wasn't very original, in that way it's a typical horror movie, but it had some nice turns and the end was (to me) unexpected, which I like. The actors were pretty good as well, I could agree with the other reviews that Elizabeth Gillies stood out but she also had the most complicated character so the others hadn't as much chance as she did to show different sides. Never the less she did indeed really good and it's always nice to see former kid actors turn out so good as grown ups.

The movie leaves some questions unanswered, which can be frustrating but I didn't mind much. I think they might have done this intentionally to leave room for a sequel. I would be very interested to see it if they make one.

Don't watch, just read the books
25 June 2014
I loved the Vampire Books so I was really looking forward to this movie but it was one big disappointment.

The script was pretty chaotic, if you haven't read the books yet you won't understand a thing. I know the books pretty well and even I was confused about which direction the movie was supposed to be heading.

The worst part for me was the acting. When you make a movie based on a book, the least you expect is the actors match the book characters by a bit. And Zoey Deutch is not a good Rose to me. Worst of all, her acting was really poor, she completely fell flat and it was almost painful to watch. The rest of the cast wasn't much better I'm afraid.

I can only say in conclusion, I recommend you not to watch this but to go read a book instead.
