gage should've won
22 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Gage should have won. I genuinely don't understand how he didn't. Conor's was boring. I liked the frog breathing throat thing he did, that was very cool, but his witch was incredibly boring. She was mostly covered up except for part of her face and gages had hands pushing on the inside of her stomach trying to get out and his theme was hansel and gretel. I don't understand how that didn't push his over the edge. Gage's concept, story, execution was brilliant and I will be forever mad he didn't win. In my opinion, Gage > Tate > Conor as the order for the final three. I'm so very sad about Gage not winning. :(( forever bitter.

I loved this

Hilarious, tells you everything you need to know, comic book feel, fourth wall breaking was great but not overdone. Overall, an absolutely fantastic introduction. I loved it and cannot wait for me.

Comfort

The amount of happiness I had while watching this show. I'd watch 100 seasons of it. Not everything needs to have some Big Bang or big overarching plot and that's okay. A short sweet series about everyone's favourite healthcare companion is something everyone needs. Also episode three - beautiful I wish I had that when I was 12.

Did I love everyone's stories? No. Did I hate this? No. Was it a brilliant masterpiece? Also no. It was a fine rom com that had entertaining parts and overall was a decent-ish movie. If ya need to kill two hours, why not watch it.

Absolutely Stunning

This has heart and action and and shock and humour and everything you could want. Chadwick did absolutely wonderful in this episode and I don't think MCU fans could have asked for a better send off to Chadwick.

A good tattoo show
12 August 2021
No one is malicious, it's nice and fun. There's so many tattoo shows out there (specifically ones like this that don't take place in a shop) that tend to be more malicious and mean but this one isn't which I like.

It's just another adventure time episode. Like, just bc the animations different doesn't mean it's worse. Maybe I'm biased bc I loved the different animation styles episode of bobs burgers as well but yeah I liked the episode and it's definitely overhated.

Doesn't Work as an Adaption OR a Stand-Alone
12 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I finished the book this morning and just finished the movie. I have so many thoughts. I was so disappointed in the movie -- it didnt even feel like a movie, just aesthetically pleasing images/short clips played with no plot. It fell extremely flat to me. Visually, yes, the movie was stunning, but it didn't hit anything else besides that.

The movie itself: I didnt love the music, because it constantly felt tense/horrific with no build up and just felt overbearing, didnt love the casting for Ullman or Watson. I liked the addition of the creepy twins and the blood flood and the cobwebbed and skeleton lobby Wendy saw, but overall, it felt cutty and not flowy at all.

Compared to the book, there's no intro to redrum until an hour and 20 minutes in, the bath tub lady's room number changed from 217 to 237, it seems like when Wendy was describing Danny's injury, it changed from a broken arm to a dislocated shoulder, there's not a lot of Wendy and Jack being in love (when they first get to the hotel in the book, Danny sees them looking genuinely happy and in love and like a normal married couple) and there's none of that in the movie. It was just an automatic, negative relationship, so it didn't feel like a descent into an out of love thing (especially cause we got little to none backstory about their relationship anyway). There was no talk from Hallorann to Danny about how the scary things are like pictures in a book and can't hurt him (Tony reminds Danny later, but it should have come from Hallorann himself). Room 237 was already open instead of Danny having stolen the key and went in, so it makes him feel kinda passive. There was at least two explanations for both the glad there wasn't any mirrors in the bar and then in the movie, there's mirrors in the bar. Switched from 20 martinis lined up to a single glass and bottle of bourbon. They did take the dollars in the wallet till April line straight from the book though and I did enjoy that. No show of Hallorann working when he got the message from Danny (and it was only one message and it didn't feel urgent at all). The lady (all cleaned up and pretty and alive) wasn't supposed to be in the bathroom when Jack went to check it out, he was supposed to notice the bathmat and then the door would be locked, and then he'd be attacked. The whole making out thing was strange and I feel like it was just an excuse for Stanley Kubrick to put a hot naked lady in his movie. Absolutely no scenes in the basement area of Jack looking through the papers and digging up the dirty history, so no call from the drug store in town from Jack to Ullman/Shockley. The doctor scene was moved from post being in the hotel to pre which isn't that big of a deal, but it also cut out the mentions of Danny knowing about Wendy's sister. Tony, also couldn't come out in the book like, once they got to the hotel (or a little after), but throughout the movie, Tony was talking through Danny. The fight between Jack and Wendy (on the staircase with the baseball bat) was anti-climactic, plus I'm pretty sure Danny had come down to help or something, or at least help move Jack into the storage cabinet (he's the one who reminds Wendy to pull the bolt/pin to unlock the cabinet cause she's panicking and forgot to do that). No playground scene or hedge animal fight (but I heard that they had to cut the hedge animals bc CGI wouldn't allow it). Also, no hose situation with Danny and switched from him seeing the dog-boy to Wendy seeing the dog boy (which didnt have any real need either, like in the book, he blocks Danny). There's a moment where Jack kinda comes back and he tells Danny to run before he's back in his overlook possession and that wasn't included, but I thought that was a great moment to have to show some humanity left in Jack. Then, I think the two biggest things that annoyed me: THEY KILLED HALLORANN WHOM THEY GAVE NO FIGHTING CHANCE TO AND THEY DIDNT BLOW UP THE HOTEL AND LET JACK JUST FREEZE TO DEATH IN THE MAZE THAT WAS THE MOST ANTI-CLIMACTIC THING IVE SEEN. OH and the whole using an axe instead of a roque mallet (which in the book danny saw a bloody version of in the seat when his dad came home in the beginning) was also just very annoying cause that was a huge part of it

Overall, I didn't care for movie at all and was super disappointed in it.

The acting is top notch, but I hate Ross
3 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Ross was wrong in the previous episode for being overbearing bc rachel clearly said she didnt have time for dinner, so its his fault for the argument starting. It was established Rachel and Mark werent a thing, she just needed a friend, he immediately hung up and didnt bother letting her explain, and then out of self pity, he slept with the xerox girl.

Feel good
17 June 2020
I found this show after the first season came out during a random scroll through Netflix and since then, while I haven't explicitly been waiting for the next season, if I see the next season has been released, I watch it (usually in one go). That's what happened today. I just finished the fourth and final season. This has really been one of my favourite feel good heart warming shows. I love the characters and the story and it makes me laugh and smile and cry and it's a great show that everyone should take a chance on, because it really deserves more love than it gets. Thank you for a really awesome series 💜

It's pretty selfish to want to do a dance over someone's performance they worked really hard on. It was pretty lame and there have been episodes where I really didn't like Tori and episodes where I really did like her and this was just one episode where I really didn't like her.

Foreman is so frustrating
14 July 2019
I've never liked Foreman and this episode (and a few others from season 5 especially) really reiterated that. Foreman is selfish and I can't understand why 13 stays with him. I would have dumped him on the spot after what he did.

I enjoy the show, but Gabi gets on my nerves
8 September 2018
The shows hilarious and I love a lot of the characters (especially Sophia, Alan, and Yolanda), but Gabi is just so selfish in every single episode. She never considers anyone else's feelings and it's just pathetic. Sophia has put up with so much of Gabi's shit, but Gabi doesn't care about Sophia. I honestly feel way worse for Sophia than I do Gabi. I sympathize with her way more. Also, Cooper was way better for Gabi than Josh is so
