Barrumbi Kids (2022)
Great view of life in remote communities
I watched this with my kids, who were really engaged in this series. It's a great slice of life, we learnt a lot about indigenous culture and life in remote communities. Please renew for series 2, great series, great acting, keeping it real.
As the oldest living culture, Australia's indigenous people have so much to teach us about their life, Country and their symbiotic relationship with nature. I really got some insight into this throughout this series. A rare show with beautiful friendships too, no arguments or meanness. Well done to all involved. Now waiting to see where they end up in series 2.
Dirty Dancing (1987)
All time classic
I first watched this when it first came out in '87, I had the CD, the picture disk and eventually the DVD. I've just watched it again after a long break and yup, still love it. I love a good love story with a great sound track.
Velvet (2013)
Series 1-3 were great
Loved series 1-3, very addictive and loved the love story. But In series 4 I fast forwarded most of it. Only the last 3 episodes were engaging but I watched to see how the love story ended. There should have been 11 episodes of them finding each other, rather than the ongoing bickering of Velvet. And please edit the subtitles... so many errors!
White Lines (2020)
Not great
The plot sounded good, but poor character development let it down. They didn't spend enough time getting under the characters skin to feel anything towards them. It's just stuff happening, then more stuff happening. Entertaining but flawed.
