The Kashmir Files (2022)
Never Forget
This is not a film, but a medium to reach the people of India and walk them through the brutal genocide which took place in Kashmir 1990. The only think common man knows about Kashmir is that we can it heaven on earth. It was like that for KP community as well once but if someone has experienced hell on earth, it is them too. The movie covers the gruesome reality, which should be watched and understood and remembered. This should not be suppressed but rather taught in schools, just like the Holocaust. You may forgive if you could, but don't forget. NEVER.
For all the artists who were part of this film, i only have respect for them. It takes guts to create something like this which was been buried for 30years. People have acted from their heart. This is power of cinema, not the random bollywood crap.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Big House Pt. 1 (2017)
This episode reminded me how much I love this show
Well put through episode.I won't say the best but one of the good ones
***Spoiler Alert**** This episode was mainly centered around Jake So Jake and Rosa(;p)are in prison because they were convicted for robbing banks by Hawkins The episode starts with Charles having a dream that Jake is out and they are going to Disney Land(Now if have watched all seasons, you would have figured it is a dream) Everyone is trying their best to find something on Hawkins to get Diaz and Jake out but she has left no loose ends Inside the jail, Jake is trying to blend in so that he could save his ass (coz he is a cop and everybody wants him dead) Also he is frustrated that he can't see Amy more He has a cellmate Caleb who is cannibal and has a history of eating up 9 and a half people. He is as easy going as Jake and is his biggest help in the prison He helps him meet Romero who smuggles almost anything in the prison Now the best thing I love about this show how they portray a bad guy Romero is Jake's best shot of getting a phone in prison but in return he wants Ramen(street flavors :p) For that Charles helps him and he gets his phone As soon as everything is better,Warden finds out few Ramen in Jake's cell and sends him to Gen Pop(where all criminals and PS:They hate cop) Jake tries to join a gang to keep himself save but is of no use Then Caleb asks him to join Romero's Romero's takes Jake in because he gave him a tip on how to leave some of the noodles to put on top to get a crispy twist :p But next thing you know he asks Jake to kill a guard which Jake counters by saying he can get him fired Jake came up with a plan to make the guard angry and told Caleb to film it(numerous times) caught Warden's attention and his phone was seized Warden now played another card telling Jake to snitch on Romero so that he can get to know about Romero's drug stash and Jake agrees
Now Jake becomes part of Team Romero and is safe but has to find a way to know where the drugs are as Romero doesn't trust him yet PS:The name of the drug is Blitz(cool name)
The Walking Dead: Mercy (2017)
The name of the episode doesn't really makes sense
This was an episode we have been waiting for an awfully long time keeping in mind how things ended in the last episode of previous season. But this episode doesn't live up to that hype. One can call it a decent episode. It starts with Rick, Ezekiel and Maggie giving speeches about how things will go down which shows that they have been planning on some kind of an attack which they will surely execute in the episode with flashes from how Carol and keep check on the timing of the herd Daryl is being helped by Dwight as he tells him about their hideouts
I would say while planning they didn't thought it through The plan was a good one but in bits n pieces
1.Controlling the herd and bringing it to Negan's place was executed exceptionally well 2.Taking out the hideouts one by one silently and quietly was another highlight 3.Puts metal sheets on cars and using them as shield required brains and going to Negan's all pumped up seemed like a good plan 4.Hilltop and Kingdom came together to fight against Negan
But as I said they didn't think it through As soon as Negan walks out no one shoots All that 'one person has to die talk goes into a dustbin' Rick gave a choice to Negan's lieutenants(MERCY) that they can join Team Rick and their lives will be spared. But on one seemed to say anything. Then out of nowhere Negan calls out Gregory to say that Hilltop stands with Negan but i don't know why he thought that would work(Absolutely failed)
Rick starts counting and in the middle of it shoots and Negan and misses. From 7 long season they had been using guns and a misses the target(Seems highly unlikely) And then came the most poorly thought scene:Wasting Ammunition All lost their heads and started shooting at the building That was just Rick depicting 'Fuck One Person' kill everyone Negan somehow manages to get into a trailer outside the building As their so called plan was working, people start leaving as big herd of Zombies reached there Then Gabriel gets that fatherly sense and goes out help Gregory but as anyone watching that scene can predict :Yes u guessed right Gregory takes his car and flees Gabriel then somehow and manages to get into a trailer and finds Negan in it with both of them surrounded by Zombies At the end of the episode Rick is getting those time transitional flashbacks in which he is giving speech and then he is panting and thinking about Mercy and then he's old(Grandpa Rick) leaving peacefully All in all a decent episode but could have been much better I think Negan has something in store for the next episode and people are going to die But it looks like this is a kind of battle no one will be happy after winning(Although Negan is always happy)
The Walking Dead: The Day Will Come When You Won't Be (2016)
One of the best episodes this show has ever produced
After season 6 finale everyone was eagerly waiting for season 7 to start but I assure the wait is worthwhile.Who will die and who will survive?Lets start with that.Almost everyone knew Glenn was gonna die but after watching Abraham getting hit by Lucille that thought subdued but that was not all.Guess what, Glenn dies too.I wasn't ready for this double bluff.Losing 2 main cast characters is difficult but they have gone.I'll miss them both. The way Negan's image is put forth is horrifying and breathtaking. I don't think any new character has made such a compelling entry before on the show. Very well directed. Negan's command,Rick and co being helpless and the wrath of Lucille this episode had it all.How does the group respond? Something to look forward to. R.I.P Glenn and Abraham
